Boerse Stuttgart Group, Germany’s second largest stock exchange, has announced today via an official tweet that it has launched its crypto-trading app Bison.

As stated on the app’s webpage, the software developed by a Boerse Stuttgart’s subsidiary aims to provide easy access to cryptocurrencies for investors coming from traditional markets environment.

The app offers zero-fee trading in several key cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP). Another Boerse’s subsidiary, Blocknox, will act as a custodian and escrow agent for users’ funds.

According to the press release, Boerse Stuttgart is partnering with SolarisBank, which will be processing euro payments and provide custodial services in fiat.

In the early days, Bison will only be available in Germany, and the trading hours will be limited, but Boerse intends to extend trading to 24 hours a day once the system is up and running smoothly. The exchange also plans to open access for other European residents in late 2019, and to add other cryptocurrencies in the future.

“More and more corporate giants are rushing into the crypto space,” says Dima Zaitsev, Head of International PR at ICOBox. “The release of Bison shows that mainstream business sees the validity and the need for the digital currencies, and they are listening to their customers.”
