PREFACE

Have you been to a hospital’s file room?
If you’ve actually been there, you’ll see that a lot of things are going wrong, a lot of damages done to patients file, most especially those that have not come back to the hospital in a while, this has led to people spending a lot of money to create new files/ loss their entire medical records, they undergo treatments they shouldn’t have gone through, some people are given the wrong diagnosis, because their medical history is nowhere to be found.

And many die because they don’t actually know what is wrong with them, and on that the wrong treatment/ surgery are given to them, during cases of emergency. Some workers in medical institutions may also intentionally wants to hide or release some data without prior notice of the patient.

There are challenges of poor data management and some that the patient may not want to share with public are sometimes released without the consent of the patients.

MediBloc is an open source healthcare data platform built on the blockchain. It compiles a complete indexed history of all patient medical information; validating and securing every change along the day. It can safely secure and integrate scattered data from various institutions, and also collect data from devices like the Smartphone.

Personal medical records based on individual needs, setting grounds for exercising ownership and control over personal medical records. Patients have full access to their data and can assign access permissions for medical institutions and allow authorization for those who can write data on MediBloc.

I believe that, the best way of tracking medical records is by patient keeping the record themselves. And this is what the MediBloc has done by decentralizing the medical record keeping. Just with the use of internet and MediBloc APPs on the Blockchain technology, medical records can be at ones finger tip. And with this invent, the patient have no difficulty in sharing their medical records and no movement or travelling to share their medical records. The patients can now have their medical records at their control and grasp.

The patient can choose when to share and with whom to share their medical records. This is different from the way things were in time past, where their medical records were shared without their notice.

Asides from tracking records of crime and diseases or epidemics of a patient, medical data is very important for research, clinical trials, drug development and the use for developing the Artificial Intelligence. If good and reliable data are available for A.I, medicine would have a plus advantage to it.
