What if You Could Earn Crypto by Listening to Music?

The short answer to this question is that you can truly listen to music and earn cryptocurrencies at the same time. In fact, while I am writing this blog up I'm also doing that at the same time, and it's really quite simple.

Crypto is becoming mainstream, and one of the ways it is so is by music adopting it as a form of a way for artists to get paid, and heard. The method I'm going to describe here is how anyone can earn crypto, but what musicians should keep in mind is that this also is a way for you to be able to get your music heard. The incentive for the listener is to earn crypto, and in the mix of that they could come across your music and want to follow that further.

If you head over to https://atomcollectorrecords.com/ on the top right of the screen you will have the option to login/join. Everyone will want to join, so go ahead and do that.

By the time you're in you can already see all kinds of options all over the site and listen to music right away, but if you want to earn crypto you will need to set up another account. Go to https://bitshares.org/ and set up an account there.

The reason you want to set up a Bitshares account is because Atom Collector Records uses a token they've created called $Indie, which is based on Bitshares.

Once you've created a Bitshares account, take your username and on the atomcollectorrecords.com website at the top you will see "My Details". Here, you can customize, but most importantly you will want to enter your Bitshares account username. Once you do this then you can head back to the "Dashboard" located in the menu at the top.

Back on the Dashboard, near the middle, you will see the Listen/Watch list. Everyday, your opportunity to earn crypto is based on which platform they are allowing $Indie to be earned while listening to music. So, you have a list from Soundcloud to Dtube, to Choon, and etc. On the right-hand side, you will see the $Indie logo, and that is the one designated for listening and earning $Indie.

Once you have earned $Indie you can see how much you have on the Dashboard. Once you earn 100 $Indie (which is listening to 100 songs), you can then request to have it withdrawn to your Bitshares account.

Once you have your $Indie on Bitshares, you can then exchange it for other tokens, or Bitshares itself. What I do, is then withdraw Bitshares and exchange it from Steemit for Steem Power or Steem, or Steem Dollars. There are probably some other ways to exchange it to another crypto, but this is one way. If you have Steem you can exchange that to Bitcoin, or whatever from Steemit.

There's a lot of other things you can do on Atom Collector Records. Like I said, if you're a musician this is a great way to get your music heard, and free. There's a community of people there to talk to, etc.
