Something bad happen to the bitFlyer? Rumors spread

There are rumors spreading that something bad has happened to the bitFlyer, one of the biggest Japanese crypto exchanges. Some people say that a system failure has occured and others say hacking. These rumors began with the tweets by Ichiro Yamamoto, a Japanese freelance writer. He is famous for making strict and exaggerated commentaries on corporate scandals in Japan. His tweets implied that there was something bad about the company. I quote some of his remarks. "Why does the bitFryer often cause problems? I am worrying about writing in articles."  Hearing that many people was talking about the bitFlyer on SNS, Yuzo Kano, the CEO, made a tweet to deny these speculations. He told users that since his company operated the service as usual, please be relieved. After his tweet, They became somewhat quiet on SNS to know nothing happened to the exchange. I don't know the truth, but if there are some problems, they will soon become obvious. Otherwise, Mr.Yamamoto may be sued by the bitFlyer for credit disturbance.

It is said that this conflict between a company and a critic has had some influence on the market as well. After May 10th, when tweeted, the price of Bitcoin decreased. The news on the Upbit, one of the most famous exchanges in South Korea, was also a factor to sell, but there were some people who moved to selling due to the anxiety about the bitFlyer. Anyway, We have to pay attention to the company's response this week.

A Japanese company plans to issue Otakucoin

Tokyo Otaku Mode Inc.(TOM) plans to issue "Otakucoin" in this summer or autumn for promoting Japanese pop cultures. They try to develop it as a "otaku" community currency of the world and create a mechanism that can fund support for animation and game production projects decided by fans' voting. At first, they say that "Otakucoin" will be distributed free of charge to Japanese culture fans all over the world without ICO.

 New companies accept BTC payment

TechAcademy, a programming school, and STARMICA, a real estate agency, newly start to accept bitcoin payment. They introduced the payment system of the bitFlyer. In Japan, while the Financial Services Agency is strengthening its control over cryptocurrencies, the number of companies that accept bitcoin payment is increasing little by little.
