Peoples: Transparent and Decentralized Ethereum Token

Introduction

Blockchain and Smart Contracts open many doors to new decentralized businesses and eliminates the need for expensive third parties. Many new companies are now working on this technology, and large companies are testing it in closed networks to collaborate directly with each other without the need for intermediaries.

For that reason, there is a lot of projects that are starting to use this new technology. However, not all of them are worth it. We have to read well what each project is dedicated to, what is its whitepaper, its qualified advisors, etc. As I said, blockchain technology has gained popularity due to the hype about cryptocurrencies which has shaken many startups to launch their own cryptocurrencies even without convincing fundamentals. This trend has emerged because new entrants have been more agile in adopting emerging technologies compared to incumbents who are hampered by legacy systems. However, this competitiveness and this advantage enjoyed by the new players may be short-lived, as no economies of scale are taken into account.

Even though, much of the ICO fails to meet and achieve the objectives promised by the team. In most ICOs only part of the token is available for purchase for people and the tokens are maintained by the team/developer together with the ICO fund raised from the sale of the token. This creates a majority control of the developer and the team and minority role of the people who participate in the ICO and in the community of tokens without decentralization of the token.

For this reason, the project I am going to present you is Peoples, a blockchain-based project designed to form a decentralized collaborative community that thrives along with the token and determine the development of several projects that use the PPL token.

Definition

As I said, Peoples token (PPL) (https://www.peoplestoken.org/) is an ERC20 utility token developed for people and managed by people. It is a decentralized and transparent token driven in depth by the token community.

The main idea is to create a totally community and decentralized token, free of the current defects that are observed in most ICOs and the development of tokens. As said before, the purpose of the PPL token is to form a decentralized collaboration community that thrives together with the token and determine the development of several projects that use the "PPL token". The community will be administered with the equal participation of all PPL cardholders and will strive to develop multiple projects open to all community members.
