In less than 24 hours, Litecoin Halving or Litecoin Halvening will half mining rewards from 25 LTC to 12.5 LTC
The Litecoin Halvening countdown timer on CoinGecko shows only about 569 blocks to go towards the halvening reducing LTC reward from 25 LTC down to 12.5 LTC. While the market may have already priced in the expectation of this halvening, it remains to be seen if market participants will act outside of expectation.
Litecoin price in the last 7 days isn't as volatile as most people would expect as we approach Litecoin Halving.
@coingecko, I want to educate myself and want to know about your opinion and that is, How Litecoin Halving will impact Cryptocurrency Space? I don't have much knowledge about it so want to gain to some extent.

Most importantly, from now on, after the hardfork, Each time a new block is mined on the Litecoin blockchain, the miner will only be rewarded 12.5 LTC instead of 25 LTC.
This means the inflation rate of LTC is reduced now. It will take more energy to mine Litecoin (since miner will only get half as much coins for the same computing power).

It depends on your trading strategy or the reason behind buying the Litecoin. There's never a wrong time to buy a coin if you want to hodl them to the end 😉.

I've been looking forward to this. I wonder how much it will affect the price as it has already been factored in. I like to think of ltc being worth around 1/100th of btc in a healthy market. News like this only seems to affect miners a lot since it is known long before it ever happens.
Hence it seems that the market has priced in the halving.
