Yahoo-Backed Crypto Exchange Enters Japan Market
The Yahoo-backed crypto exchange TaoTao is preparing to enter the market on May 30 perfect timing as the market has finally shaken off the bear market.
The platform was first mentioned back in March 2018 when reports came out stating that a retail foreign exchange broker wholly owned by Yahoo Japan is planning to acquire 40% of BitARG, a Tokyo-base cryptocurrency exchange.
It was later revealed that the acquisition cost for the 40% stake cost the internet giant between 2 and 3 billion yes or around $19-27 Million USD.
By March 2019 prospective users could sign up for a TaoTao account and participate in a promotional giveaway scheme.
It must be noted that the exchanges is planning to offer its services to the Japanese market only, it is not yet clear of the are plans to expand operations in other jurisdictions.
