The Opera Web browser launches a desktop client with a built-in crypto wallet

The well-known Opera Internet browser announced the integration of crypto purses directly into your browser. This step is a result of the previous beta release for devices running on the Android operating system.

Norwegian company Opera, whose products use more than 322 million people worldwide decides its strong interest and positive response from the crypto community. This triggered the launch of the above mobile wallet. The new desktop version will allow users to connect their browser to their existing crypto-enabled mobile application by scanning the QR code that Opera has been using to synchronize desktop mobile applications for years.

Synchronizing desktop versions with mobile wallets will allow owners to use security features that are typical of mobile devices. In particular, they are able to sign or verify outbound transactions by fingerprint scanning.
It will not be necessary to enter any passwords in your browser, which is not only a more effective but, above all, safer way. Mobile wallet also has private keys stored directly in itself and not in the cloud or on third party servers. By doing so, your digital assets are owned by you alone, without the possibility of misuse by others.

As with the mobile application, the desktop client will currently only support ETH, ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens. Developers, however, plan to add support for additional cryptocurrency in the future.
