In the past patient medical data were hand written and stored in files for save keeping. Patients had no access to their files due to medical laws governing. The institutions in which the a particular patient visits varies according to cost of treatment and closeness to home in case of emergency. This factor causes a patient to have varying reports and the institutions having inadequate records of the patient making medical decisions more complex and dangerous.
People cannot be trusted for full and accurate remembrance that leads me to MediBloc

INTRODUCTION

MediBloc is an open source healthcare data platform running on blockchain technology. It comprises of all patient medical information; confirming and securing every possible change along the day. This platform makes it possible to secure and integrate scattered data across various institutions and also accessing smart systems like smart phones for the collection of useful data.
Patients are allowed to manage their own medical records with respect to their needs and making them have the final say about what person information they are will to share or grant access to. Patients have complete access to the data and are permitted to give access clarification to those who seek their data and can write on the MediBloc platform. Other individuals, institutions, corporations interested in getting a patient medical information either for the purpose of research can also access it with permission.

Software engineer and developer communities to be able to build new services by implementing the MediBloc platform API and SDK to exchange data with the platform and influence innovations in the healthcare applications market. MediBloc will issue Medi token(MED) as the cryptocurrency used on this platform for a competitive ecosystem. MediBloc users will be motivated for their contribution on the MediBloc platform. The MediBloc team is certain that it can create a system that can satisfy all requirements of an ideal healthcare information system by using blockchain technology, which is rapidly developing worth. Patients who has gone to several hospital and have taken different medical examination then repeat the same procedure in different hospital. It is because such data cannot be transferred.

CHARACTERISTICS

• “HIPAA privacy rule states that all medical information is to be confidential” but this doesn't eliminate the fact that some data could be leaked and carelessness could also cause for some data to be lost. But MediBloc would be able to block this
  unpleasant experience gone through by institutions by placing the patients in charge of their own data. This would minimize the risk of leak and carelessness due to numerous access in the institutions.
• MediBloc is able able to provide information like where, when and for what purpose a data was used thereby reducing exploitation of healthcare information.
• It allows for only verified medical practitioners to have access to the database.
• it makes use of decentralized database allowing for easy access through the internet.

LEVELS OF DECENTRALIZATION

MediBloc can be said to be in three stages.

• the first stage which is the core consists of the blockchain which helps in storing the data. The data stored can be accessed anytime by the user and is assigned a private key which makes it restricted to others. The datas are backed up so as to allow for recovery if lost.
• the second stage is the service stage which acts as an intermediary between the core and the application. The service helps grant access in and out of the core
• The third stage is the application stage, it is concerned with smart phone. It gets its Information from the service. MediBloc provides SDK which can be used in application development and can access the MediBloc service stage

SCALING SYSTEM

MediBloc uses two different scaling system in its platform which are the MEDI token (MED) and MEDI point. This would allow for an objective scaling system to maximize data exchange reliability.

• MEDI TOKEN
  This is the cryptocurrency used by MediBloc it can be transferred from one platform to another.
  This token can be traded and can be used for payment of bills and for completion of transactions. It can access all three stages (core, service and application).
• MEDI POINT
  This point can only be used within the platform it is non-transferable between users. The point serves as a Prove of Reputation (POR) system which shows how effective a participant uses the platform.

I believe the use of this platform would be helpful in:

• it would assist participants in terms of insurance
• It can serve as a lucrative means for patients to earn
