Some World Crypto News

1- UK regulator the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a second warning in a week Wednesday, August 8, over crypto-related “fraudsters” claiming to be an FCA authorized firm.

According to the FCA, the rogue firm, Good Crypto, was giving out “false details or mix[ing] these with some correct details of the registered firm,” which in this case was London-based Arup Corporate Finance.

2 - Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume, announced back in March that it plans to launch a new public blockchain for the purposes of developing the Binance Chain, a platform to transfer and trade different crypto assets without a centralized operator. This week, CEO Changpeng Zhao provided the first demonstration of the Binance Decentralized Exchange and the Binance Chain.

3 - A draft law prepared by deputies and representatives of the industry aims to introduce light taxation of crypto incomes in Ukraine. Businesses and individuals will be required to pay 5% on their profits from trading and mining cryptocurrencies when exchanged to fiat. Add to that the mandatory ‘military charge’ of 1.5% all Ukrainians owe the state since the start of the conflict in the East.

4 - Brave, the privacy-centric web browser launched by Mozilla co-founder Brendan Eich and funded by an initial coin offering (ICO), plans to roll out Reddit and Twitter tipping to its native cryptocurrency payments system.

After manually enabling the payment system through the browser’s settings page, users will be able to link their social media accounts to their in-browser Basic Attention Token (BAT) wallets and both tip and accept tips from other users.

5 - Banco de España (BDE) recently released a report in support of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. The report explores the pros and cons of having a digital version of the state currency. It concludes that digital coins and blockchain technology could help the Spanish economy. In particular, it would benefit monetary policy and financial infrastructure.
