Some World Crypto News
1- A new Canadian legislative draft outlines the necessity for better anti-terrorism financing (ATF) and anti-money laundering (AML) efforts. Included in this draft are references to virtual currencies and virtual currency exchanges.
2 - Coinrail, which is among the world’s top 100 crypto exchanges by trading volume, said in a statement that some of the lesser-known cryptocurrencies, such as NPXS, belonging to its users were stolen by hackers. It said it had frozen the tokens that were stolen and halted all trading across the exchange to help with a police investigation.
3 - John Hyland, the global head of exchange-traded products for Bitwise Asset Management, told ETF.com he believes the Securities and Exchange Commission could soon approve a cryptocurrency ETF.
Hyland, who played a key role in developing the first commodity and oil ETFs in his role as CIO at United States Commodity Funds, hopes to introduce some of the first crypto ETFs. Last year, Bitwise opened a private cryptocurrency fund.
4 - The IMF has released a remarkable new article depicting cryptocurrency as the centerpiece of human evolution. The piece, written by Director of the IMF’s Strategy, Policy, and Review Department Martin Mühleisen, is called “The Future of Currency in a Digital World.”
5 - Argo, a cloud miner that is yet not so known and has not even fully launched, has already received a permission to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company has received the information from the UK Listing Authority.
