Some World Crypto News
1- A mining service provider company, Argo Blockchain, is currently seeking a listing on the London Stock Exchange. This is the first time that the oldest exchange in the world will allow a crypto mining business on its list.
The London-based company with a Canadian connection received a nod from the U.K. Listing Authority two weeks ago and announced their 20 million-pound IPO on Monday for a valuation of 40 million pounds. They are looking for global capital and credibility.
2 - Representatives of the German Federal Government have stated that cryptocurrencies do not pose a threat to financial stability, Cointelegraph auf Deutsch reports today, June 12. Nevertheless, the government sees the need for regulatory measures to control digital currencies.
3 - The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a letter to bank CEOs to advise them about the risks associated with cryptocurrencies.
The letter acknowledged that there are many non-criminal motives for using cryptocurrencies, including using them as high-risk speculative investments or as a means of funding innovative technological development.
4 - Lithuania’s Ministry of Finance has published comprehensive guidelines for cryptocurrency and initial coin offerings, covering four areas including regulations, accounting, and taxation.
5 - The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has demanded that several cryptocurrency exchanges — Bitstamp, Coinbase, itBit, and Kraken — share data about trading activity to determine whether any manipulation is affecting the crypto market
