1- Poland’s Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) is conducting a social media campaign about the risks of investing in cryptocurrency, according to the KNF’s website. KNF has placed a tender order of 615,000 zloty (around $173,000) to plan and conduct the campaign, which focuses on the risks associated with cryptocurrencies, pyramid schemes, and forex trading.
2 - Today the 28-member bloc formally ratified the new legislation, which the European Parliament had approved last month. The new rules will reportedly be published in the Official Journal of the EU and the member states will have 18 months to transfer them into their national legislation.
3 - CME launched two indexes on Monday for tracking ethereum, spurring speculation the world's largest futures exchange may launch another cryptocurrency futures product soon.
4 - Bing is the latest ad provider to ban cryptocurrency advertising, joining other ad giants such as Google and Facebook.
Bing deems cryptocurrency, and related products, risky due to the fact they are unregulated. As such, Bing is banning ads for these products in an effort to protect its users from bad actors.
5 - Wall Street’s love affair with bitcoin and other digital currencies could bring chaos to parts of the US economy, a top Federal Reserve official warned — with certain banks and companies issuing their private currency.
