1- Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, will launch a $1 billion venture capital fund designed to incubate blockchain projects, local media outlets have reported.
2 - Mr. Eric Cheng, a self-made millionaire and entrepreneur in real estate development, has acquired a 100% stake in Japanese FSA-licensed FX Trade Financial Co., Ltd, an FX trading platform, as well as BitTrade, a licensed crypto currency trading platform headquartered in Japan.
3 - The cryptocurrency payment system Request Network (REQ) has integrated with the Canadian e-commerce company Shopify, making the prospect of buying coffee with crypto a little more realistic.
4 - The banks committee of the New York state legislature voted on Wednesday, May 30 to progress a bill that would create a digital currency task force. The task force would study the potential effects of the implementation of cryptocurrencies on financial markets in the state of New York.
5 - Ban on selling electricity to cryptocurrency miners has been lifted. This comes sooner than the 90-day expiration date originally set for the ban, at the behest of Pierre Moreau, Quebéc's minister of energy, and the Canadian government.
