What is Swiss Alps Energy?

Swiss Alps Mining & Energy is the first company in the world to use the ORC system to recover electricity from the waste heat generated by the mining industry. The placement of mining facilities in the Swiss Alps takes advantage of the fact that water has a lower boiling point at higher altitudes , this will result in a much more efficient electricity recovery from heat. Because the mining systems on these sites do not require additional cooling by air conditioning systems which are usually needed, SAM cube power consumption can be reduced by 50% compared to conventional mining systems. With this unique approach, they solve global problems that are currently exits on the mining system.

Their team has the vision to deliver from this project, from its unique position as a provider of blockchain technology and Swiss hyperledger based business applications that are highly experienced in this field. Their product, the SAM Cube, is a modular, fast mountable cube consisting of aluminum box material and a ventilation system that is adapted to its use. The first two models are 4x2x2 meter cube (SAM Unit 1) and 8x2x2 meter cube (SAM Unit 2). Both models can be made prefabricated or assembled on the site in a very short time. Thanks to the average annual temperature below 15 degrees Celsius in the mountains Switzerland, the SAM Cube does not require an air conditioning system and utilizes natural conditions with the concept of ventilation made specifically for cooling cost-effective mining facilities.

Swiss Alps Energy also sells SAM Cubes to companies or individuals. Customers who buy cubes can get the required power from SAE and operate cubes in SAE places or deploy cubes to other places, SAM cubes are sent to the rest of the world. SAM Cubes Unit 1 has 50 Asic miners with a total capacity of more than 700 TH/s and SAM Cubes Unit 2 has 100 Asic miners with a total capacity of more than 1400 TH/s. The price of SAM Cubes Unit 1 is CHF 240,000, the price of SAM Cubes Unit 2 is CHF 400,000.
