Why is the cryptocurrency is in loss?

Because bitcoin price is going down. Since in most exchanges. alt coins are traded with Bitcoin trading pairs, when bitcoin goes down the entire market takes a dip.

Also, when bitcoin goes up, other coins also go up. This situation won't change until other trading pairs aren't added to exchanges and people are able to trade cryptos easily with fiat currency.
