in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Thought I'd provide an update on what my cryptocurrency portfolio is looking like these days.

Let me know what you think!

I was searching for updates when it comes to EOS and here you popped on You Tube. After-all I fallow you there as well 👍 😆. I won’t tell you whether your portfolio should be this or that. As long as you feel great about it, that’s what matters. My first buy of crypto was of course a bit of bitcoin few months ago at a bit lower price than it is now. Right now it’s at about 25% of my portfolio. After my first bitcoin investment I bough a bigger amount of ETH 20%, LTC 15% and of course thanks to watching few of your videos I got into IOTA 15%. I also recently purchased EOS 15% and BTS 10% to be diversified. Most of them at relatively lower price than it is now. Along with crypto portfolio I’m invested in real estate and precious metals as well. So far I’m happy with my investments and can’t wait for another bull run especially in crypto market. You have nicely diversified portfolio I have to tell. I definitely consider myself as a long therm investor as well just like you do. My plan is to take some profits if my portfolio rises 3 folds. I plan to take what I invested in. Then I will let it ride and wait until I’m millionaire 😆. If not, I will wait until I retire. That’s my plan, my retirement plan. With that said, I have plenty of time for IOTA to develop. At some point I can’t wait to live through the next 10 years and witness the development of crypto and blockchain. On the other hand I will be 10 years older😱. I agree with you on XRP, never been too much of a fan for whatever reason, I just don’t like this whole too centralized system.

Similar-ish portfolio then 😄 And btw I flagged the other guy who copied your comment

Thank you! It happened to me so many times before. I do my best to give meaningful comment and someone just copies it and than even upvotes himself to get to the top. I checked his profile image and that’s what shocked me even more.

Great portfolio of your crypto. I think most of us have similar base when it comes to overall crypto holdings. I personally hold BTC, ETH, LTC and EOS. And of course a bit of Steem. You are smart not telling us percentage of your Steem holdings. We would easily figure out your numbers. People’s jealousy is unreachable lol. Fortunately, I got into crypto at very close point where we got to the lowest level in 2018. However, there were people selling their houses and taking credits when crypto was at the top at 20k. I wonder if these people were forced to sell. I only invested what I can afford to loose, no credits, no loans. When you mentioned about taking some profits I completely agree with you. You never loose by taking profits. The worst case scenario is to sell at loss. At some point I will take some profits as well if I get to be that lucky.

This was cool. It gave me ideas of how to begin in the semi new to me world of steemit and crypto. Hopefully there is more I can learn from this and other posts and video content @louisthomas

Thanks for the great video.. and sharing your experience..I just started investing about 2-3 weeks back, although I've been on Steemit now for about 5-6 months. I have a bittrex account and own a little of 4 or 5 coins right now.

There are days when Dtube really sucks ... Grrrr ... anyway 10th time lucky.
Thanks for the portfolio review IMHO you have a sound allocation of core holdings (BTC and ETH) coupled with some higher risk outliers. Most importantly you seem to have thought about exit strategies. Personally the only compelling ALTs I see are BFT token, NEO, STEEm and possibly EOS.

One of these days dtube will work for me....
But I assume based on your posts an Eos holder and Iota. Do you ever review Nano-it an interesting coin. By the way did you see the new BIP on making mining more fairer without a fork?

I am till a believer of bitcoin from day one :)

I recently started following you @louisthomas but honestly you have been so good with cryptos that I follow almost all of your blogs and videos. Recently I visited your YouTube and watched few more things about crypto, the video where you were telling where and when to invest wss really nice.
I think your portfolio is awesome and one day I believe I will also get some crypto like that. Well right now I only have some amount of Ether.
I wish you luck and will be around for new video from you.

That is really impressive @louisthomas, as expected this video was really informative for me and gave me some new ideas. I see that you have invested in coins which are actually worth it. I also started trading on binance recently after watching and learning from your crypto business videos.
I have bought coins like Ether neo ripple. And I now look forward to get some EOS too.
Thanks a lot for sharing this video and information with us as usual and good luck with the next one.
