Wells Fargo is down?

I was just browsing through Twitter when I came across this piece of news. Of course, it's being taken care of, but it does make then argument for the need of decentralization that much stronger.

Think about this for a second, one of their facilities had a smoke detector go off, and this particular action set forth a chain of events that rendered their entire network useless for hours.

We often talk about crypto in terms of money, of the returns it will one day give us without a doubt, but truthfully there should be more emphasis on the advantage, clear advantage, of having a system that has eliminated single points of failure.

Maybe in the future decentralized technologies will be the standard for mission critical applications, and those companies who refuse to adapt and incorporate the idea will get left behind in a cloud of dust.
