KEEP YOUR CRYPTO ASSETS SAFE ON LEDGER BLUE

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone!

If you have been following my blog for some time, you know that I always recommend keeping your cryptocurrencies on a hardware wallet. Working as a “crypto-coach”, as I call my side-hustle, I advise my clients to get one of Ledger’s products: a Ledger Nano S or a more advanced model with an integrated small screen, Ledger Blue. I even organise group buys for my local clients:

Good news: Ledger Blue is back!

Now I have some great news to share with those of you who haven’t gotten yet to buying your own hardware wallet. Namely, that the beautiful and user-friendly Ledger Blue is back in stock on the manufacturer’s website.

This product usually flies off the shelves like hot apple pies at a Russian market fair on a chilly winter day, so if you need one (or two, or three, if you have friends, family members or colleagues who share your passion for cryptocurrencies), you shouldn’t wait too long before ordering one. It is a superb piece of hardware that allows you to safely keep and manage a number of supported cryptocurrencies. Its micro-USB cable allow you to easily connect your Ledger Blue to your computer and install different wallets, update system software and manage transactions:

Of course I am endorsing and heartily recommending the use of this product purely out of security considerations. I myself have been nothing but a very happy user and a proud ambassador of Ledger’s hardware devices. But I also must make a disclaimer that I earn EUR €22.90 on every Ledger Blue sold via my affiliate link:

(obviously, using my affiliate link WILL NOT affect the price for you as a customer)
If you don’t have one yet and want to buy it, I will be very grateful if you order via my link.

Make sure to NEVER buy hardware wallets from eBay or Amazon!! You will be risking all your crypto assets if your hardware wallet comes from anywhere other than its manufacturer’s official web store.

Finally, if you make an order via my link, please leave a comment with a screenshot of your order confirmation. There might be a few pleasant surprises waiting for you in that case. ;)

I have the Ledger Nano S, it's relatively simple to operate and the small screen is more than enough for its purpose. Can't stress how important it is to secure your coins. The exchanges are not a safe place to store them, no one wants to deal with a hack.

I couldn’t agree more, @crypticat. I myself am using Ledger Nano S since late 2016. I can say that I enjoy a very calm and peaceful sleep at night. ;)

With a Ledger Nano S you can sleep as soundly as a cat 😸

I just recently got mine and am excited to set it up this weekend!

Do you plan to make a post about your user experience with the Ledger Blue? I will definitely be interested in reading it. I am following you now, as the topics that you cover on your blog are within my areas of interest.

I have been thinking about it! Also, thinking of comparing it to Trezor as well. Thanks for the follow!

Sounds interesting to me.....

Good one...should be a part of steemhunt

I don't have allot of crypto YET but once I do I will be looking into a hard wallet.

Not that I will be buying one as I don't trade, but you could have posted this on Steemhunt it's a much more useful product thsn most of the stuff I've seen on there

Thank you, @livinguktaiwan. I’m not trading either. This product is not for traders (those keep their funds primarily on exchanges or in hot wallets). This if for the “hodlers” – those who don’t touch their crypto assets for year, preferring instead to keep them in the safety of a cold hardware wallet and only making transfers from it when they absolutely have to. This device is perfect for the long-term holding strategy.

I took a look at @steemhunt, but it seemed too complicated for me to want to share my post there.

You'll be amazed the lengths some people go to understand and play the system in order to maximise their payout!!!
