Location via Oracle Technology

Our mind is a very complex organ that we have not yet fully comprehended. The things we forget and the timespan in which we forget them may sometimes surprise us given the things we can remember. You may remember events from years ago but quickly forget where you have placed your car keys. But with the way tech is developing, we may soon never stress about such small things. Solutions are coming to us at lightning speed.

Blockchain is the transformative solution that has opened up a new chain of thinking. There are projects that we have been trying to perfect such as having a location system that cannot be compromised. The possibility of this system is now seeing the light of day and may the system that will finally help solve the issue of missing keys and more serious problems in the world.

Introducing XYO Network

The XY Oracle (XYO) Network is the entity behind this system. They have a goal to create a system of location oracles that are decentralized through the use of blockchain technology that are secure enough to resist any form of manipulation of the data they collect and that can provide precise and accurate location data upon request.

The XYO network will use a series of cryptographic proofs to ensure that the data they provide is as accurate as possible. Users of any blockchain protocol that has smart contract capabilities such as the Ethereum protocol will be able to request the location of any item using the XYO Network’s location system.

The process of coming up with accurate data is supported by the four main components of the network, the Diviners, the Sentinels, the Archivists and the Bridges. Each of these components play a crucial role in ensuring that the data they receive is accurate and legitimate. The Sentinels are the data gatherers. This component collects data from various sources utilizing the existing technology that is there.

The data could come from sensors, or radios or any other device that can give location data. A Proof of Origin system is used by the sentinels to relay a chain of cryptographic proofs to the next component such that these components can be sure that the location data collected by the Sentinels came from the same source.

Diviners are the final component of the XYO platform. Diviners get the queries made from various blockchain networks. They then use the data that Archivists have stored to come up with the most precise and accurate location data which they relay to the user who made the inquiry.

XYO=Future of Location Based Services

With the right hardware and software, the XYO system could be the best candidate for tech that needs accurate location data and a solution for everyday location problems. Tech is growing and its dependency on location data can be seen. Self-driving cars are being fine-tuned and one thing they will definitely need to be accurate is the location data they receive. Any glitch in that data may result in unwanted damages.

The XYO Network can make this possible as it specializes in accurate location data provision. It can also help save lives. Sometimes, it may be hard finding the exact location of an emergency call but they XYO Network can make it possible for response units to find the exact place the call came from.

The future will definitely have delivery drones. The technology is being experimented and improved by a number of different companies. Precise location data is also something they will need. These deliveries are going to specific places and it would be far much better if the drones could identify the exact drop off point. In line with drone technology are drone taxis.

These are also in the developmental stages and accurate location data would also be of great help to them. For traditional taxis, the XYO network can still be of great help. Finding your clients position can be facilitated by XYO. Taxi companies can also manage their cars by installing XYO Network devices to accurately track the location of their vehicles at all times. This system can also be used in other car fleets.
