I have been vehemently involved in the crypto world since 2016 and I have loved every single day of it. I mean who won't, considering what this technology enables us normal folks to achieve.

I still remember the day I came to know about Steem and from there about cryptocurrencies in general. I couldn't believe that it had already been going on for over half a decade and I had no clue about it, especially because I have always tried to remain up to date with the world of technology since my early teenage years.

Even though I slightly felt like I had missed out on a lot, I was more focused on the future and how cryptocurrencies are only getting started and have the potential to change everything, distribute a lot of wealth to a whole lot of people in the world and overall make the lives of millions of people better.

The last three years in hindsight have been great and we've all seen a lot of development, adoption, clearer laws and I believe that we are at a stage where things are going to really take off in terms of any parameter you can think of and nobody will be able to stop it.

Its Time Has Come

I am reminded of a great quote by Victor Hugo that goes, "Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come." This is so perfectly applicable in the world of technology. Throughout history we've seen how technological progess has revolutionised the way we do things over and over again and this time it ain't gonna be different!

I truly believe that the time has come for cryptocurrencies to come out of the proverbial shadows and into the limelight, which if you've been paying attention, is beginning to happen. And it couldn't be happening at a more perfect time. We are just at the beginning of the next bull run that will probably last for over 2 years.

This will cause even more public attention and that will trickle down to real world usage of the many cryptocurrencies that are out there, which will finally cause the 'shift' that we've been waiting for. We are already witnessing mainstream companies enter this space, from Samsung to Microsoft to Starbucks and this list will only continue to grow.

What we're seeing right now can be compared with how the internet grew into the mainstream in the 90s and 2000s. The only difference is that its happening a lot faster. The next 5 years are going to be really great for cryptocurrencies and everyone involved right now will probably see huge benefits. Buckle up, the ride is just getting started.
