The relevance of accurate and unambiguous data and information sharing which are often channel through external data feeds (that is APIs), is crucial. At the ongoing, a huge amount of information and data bypass us and are never shared in real time. It is based on this milieu that the Eventum team presents a platform that would explore the numerous potentials of blockchain technologies and sourcing information from crowd to gather useful and beneficial information in real time and consequently, people get paid for their effort in gathering and sharing the information. Ultimately, this would increase the reliability of data and information available to developers at cheaper prices.

CHALLENGES ASSOCIATED WITH DATA AND INFORMATION GATHERING.
For organization to achieve their business objective which are expansion, shareholder wealth maximizations as well as research and development there is need for concise information. Regrettably, there is no sufficient access to information and data which we often encountered in our everyday activities are mostly unshared. For instance, we might find ourselves in shopping mall, looking for fanciful cloths to buy, watching our favorite sport, visiting recreational center all of which are desired information by organizations towards developing customers’ desired products and services. Our inability to share this useful information coming our way means that we cannot realize financial benefit in form of reward from them.
Additionally, the tons of available information because of they are gotten from a single data source are often unreliable and unverified and consequently, they are prone to errors and inaccuracy. The present technology to check-mate this problem equally fall short of efficiency such as the fake news detection system (it is arduous for a bot or person to efficient detect false information), or a real time content moderation or even the commonly bias reporting of events by every day journalists. This problem is stem from the fact that data and information sharing companies are centralized; this gives the owners complete autonomy over the data and prices.
Therefore to achieve efficiency and fill the yearning gap between demand for accurate data by companies and numerous people with access to this information, there is a need for decentralization of the process; this is why project Eventum was birthed.
THE EVENTUM SOLUTION
To solve this numerous challenges combating data and information sharing, the Eventum platform aim to get accurate information in real time by employing the wisdom of the crowd principle. The wisdom of the crowd principle means that information from multiple sources is subjected to verification (nodes validation) and their acceptance are hugely depended on degree of conformity that exists between the sources of information. This ensures that information gotten is reliable because bias of a single source of data sharing has been removed.
This principle (wisdom of the crowd) is achieved through a real time decentralized network of reporting and validation nodes inherent in the Eventum system. To this end, the Eventum network employs asymmetrical cryptography and blockchain solutions, that is the network can function on a number of platform which include Etherum, Swarm and Whisper, this provide Eventum with needed versatility which is lacking in other projects.
Also, the Eventum user interface and networks is relatively easy to use. Therefore reporters (everyday people) regardless of their experience with technology can easily use the platform to share information in real time and get paid in the process. As a result of this, developers get access to reliable information at cheaper price. In addition, the data gotten is not subjected to control of a particular organization as it is decentralized and are secured with blockchain technologies which also house the reward of reporters.
Eventum is therefore an opportunity for everyday person like you and I to become a data provider through either desktop and mobile applications or as well earning reward in the process. It is no hidden truth that reliability and truthfulness of data is best achieve through human because of our cognitive and observation abilities which is far superior to that of any artificial intelligence. It is also possible to earn from running a validation node which functions as real time master mode in the Eventum
