Buying Cryptocurrency from Bitcoin ATMs!
Buying Cryptocurrency from ATM Machines is a reality in 2018
In April this year the company Coinsource, a Texas based cryptocurrency ATM provider installed 20 Bitcoin ATM in and around Washington , D.C., that installation raised the number of Bitcoin ATM’s in the USA the company runs to 200.
The company reported that the machines were located as follows: 12 in Washington DC, 5 in Baltimore, one in Towson, one in Oxon Hill, and one in Takoma Park. Earlier in February the company had announced 10 new machines in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Additionally, Coinsource introduced eight new machines in Denver, Colorado earlier this month.
On October 18th, the company Coinsource announced plans to expand into upstate New York, where it will install kiosks in Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester. The move comes shortly after the company revealed it had secured a virtual currency license or Bit-license from the New York State Department of Financial Services. This brings the total number of jurisdictions that Coinsource operates its Bitcoin Teller Machines (BTMs) in to 23 states including North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Florida, California, Oklahoma, Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Arizona, Georgia, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Colorado, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Sheffield Clark, CEO of Coinsource. was quoted as saying “We are dedicated to operating within all 50 states, and fully expect our expansions to continue as the technology matures and the general public begins to understand and utilize cryptocurrency to a greater degree.”

I didn’t know there were different companies competing in this niche of of the crypto economy. It’s amazing how businesses fill a need quietly and without fanfare. This development suggests the cryptocurrency mass adoption is in the future but the process is in the works. Soon those machines will hopefully sell Steem! ☺️

Thanks for the information. I was excited about the Netcoins listing but I didn’t hear anything afterwards, so I appreciate the two articles you have written. It looks like all their machines are in Canada. I tried to buy via their American OTC desk, but the minimum amount is $3,000 worth of Steem 😱
