🗞 Amidst Mixed Price Action, Half of Top Ten Cryptos See Green

Saturday, Oct. 13: crypto markets are seeing mixed price movements, as half of the top 20 coins by market cap have grown on the day.

The overall market is relatively stable, with two major cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) seeing changes in value of under 1 percent.

🗞 Crypto Reckoning? Industry Vets Strike Humble Tone in San Francisco

Many at San Francisco Blockchain Week 2018 are warily reflecting on the lessons of the 2017 token sale boom, the pride that came before this current bear market fall.

Veteran investor and AngelList co-founder Naval Ravikant told conference goers on Monday the last "hype cycle" was a "coming of age" for many cryptocurrencies such as ethereum, the second largest crypto by market cap.

"We almost got Wall Street completely involved, but we didn't quite get there," Ravikant said, adding that although some of the world's leading financial institutions are tiptoeing into the crypto markets, "that's not where the dream is."

🗞 Hacker Livestreams 51% Attack on Bitcoin Private

On Oct. 13, ethical hacker “Geocold” followed through on his promise to 51 percent attack an altcoin. He eventually settled on Bitcoin Private (BTCP), and quickly gained majority hashrate control, but the spectacle was fraught with setbacks, including censorship from two streaming services that pulled the plug.

🗞 Robinhood Reaches 25th State

The Daily: Coinbase Ditches Crypto Index Fund, Robinhood Reaches 25th StateRobinhood Markets, the stocks, options and crypto brokerage app, has reached its 25th U.S. state. This means its free trading app is now available across half of America. The Menlo Park-headquartered company announced this week that it has expanded its services to Ohio.

🗞 Kyber Network's Newest Moves, Explained

Kyber Network is an Ethereum-based, decentralized liquidity network and payment service for the instant conversion of digital assets. Although the protocol presently only deals with Ethereum-based ERC20 tokens, the project's goal is to make all blockchain-based tokens exchangeable, including security tokens that represent ownership of tradable financial assets.

As you can see, we are currently testing the upper line of the trading canal. It looks quiet hard till now to break it but any important move on the BTC could easly break one of these lines. So let's wait this monday to see which direction the BTC will take and for sure the STEEM will follow. Let's hope it will be via the upper line.
