That might sum up the reaction among some members of the crypto community Tuesday when U.S.-based exchange startup Coinbase suddenly announced its plans to list ethereum classic (ETC).

Ranking just inside the top 20 cryptocurrencies, ETC traces its origins to 2016 and the collapse of the DAO, an ethereum-based funding vehicle that fell apart following a code exploit. As such, the network is known by some as "a continuation of the original ethereum blockchain," a name bestowed after a code change on ethereum reversed losses stemming from the failed project.

🗞 A New Cryptocurrency Radio Broadcast Launches on Boston’s FM 104.9

Over the past six months, cryptocurrencies have been steadily entering the mainstream world more and more by being featured on billboards, newspapers, radio broadcasts and television shows. Now, this July residents from the New England region will be able to hear a weekly radio broadcast called Cryptomania which aims to educate the masses about the benefits of cryptocurrencies and broadcasts every Saturday on Boston’s FM radio signal 104.9.

🗞 New Trade Organization to Promote Blockchain Established in Switzerland

A new organization called the Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA) has been formed in Switzerland in order to facilitate the use of blockchain technology in financial markets, according to a press release published June 12.

The CMTA was established in Geneva by Swiss leader in online banking Swissquote, market software provider Temenos, and the country’s largest law firm Lenz & Staehelin. According to the press release, the CMTA will focus on creating open standards and toolkits that can be employed by various types of companies to raise capital by applying new technologies and digitalization.

🗞 CBDC Could Have “Severely Negative Consequences” for “Bank-Dominated Payments System” – Former FDIC Chair

The former chair of the United States Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Sheila Bair, recently published an article imploring the U.S. Federal Reserve to explore central bank-issued digital currencies (CBDCs). In the article, Mrs. Bair argues that the development of a state-issued cryptocurrency could “reduc[e] the risk of financial crises” and “improv[e] monetary policy tools.”

So the break of our support line at 2.05 is well confirmed and we are now going in the direction of the last important support line before the 1$ level. This support line is around 1.50$ andI really expect a bounce from this line. A break of it will send us quiet quickly to 1$ level, a level that we didn't see since december 2017... Let's hope the drop will stop before that level.
