🗞 Blockchain's Once-Feared 51% Attack Is Now Becoming Regular

Monacoin, bitcoin gold, zencash, verge and now, litecoin cash.

At least five cryptocurrencies have recently been hit with an attack that used to be more theoretical than actual, all in the last month. In each case, attackers have been able to amass enough computing power to compromise these smaller networks, rearrange their transactions and abscond with millions of dollars in an effort that's perhaps the crypto equivalent of a bank heist.

🗞 Alipay’s Parent Company Secures $14 Bln for Blockchain Development

Alipay’s operator Ant International has entered into “definitive agreements” with investors to secure $14 bln in a Series C equity financing round. The money will be spent to pursue blockchain and technological innovation, according to a company announcement today, June 8th.

🗞 Three Luxury Apartments Sold for 420 BTC in the Coastal Region of Montenegro

This week three luxury apartments located in Budva, Montenegro sold for 420 BTC (3.2Mn USD) according to Notary Office and the firm Astra Montenegro Investment Association (AMIA). Furthermore, the AMIA has been successfully promoting the use of digital currencies in Budva and has convinced the neighboring Dukley hotel, Beach Lounge, and Marina to accept BTC.

🗞 Fortune: R3 Blockchain Consortium Is ‘Running out of Money’, Director Denies Rumors

While last year R3 had implied that the company had a larger goal of raising $200 mln in funding, R3 told Fortune that the figure came from a now-cancelled plan to sell a stake in a research subsidiary. The unnamed former R3 employees told Fortune that the consortium’s internal financial targets are “10X short” of their revenue, with the figure described as “laughably off.”

🗞 ‘Chinese Google’ Baidu to Release Interstellar Blockchain Game

Chinese search engine Baidu has created a blockchain-based game called “Du Yuzhou” (The Universe) where users will receive “elements” to build their own planets while using blockchain features, Coindesk reports Friday, June 8.

The website announces an “open blockchain interplanetary journey,” describing the game as “a magical world made up of all kinds of rare elements” with each user having a “unique planet” that can be explored.

Yesterday, we were still progressing in direction of our resistance line to go test it. This progression stopped and we are now stucked in the middle of our 2 lines, this is a kind of move that we see often on the STEEM. We need now to wait a break out in one of the direction, break out which will be I think in the same direction than the BTC move. Let's wait and see.
