🗞 Bitcoin’s Recent Institutional Demand Is Unprecedented, Says Futures Market CEO

Paul Chou, a former Goldman Sachs executive and the founder of LedgerX, a regulated bitcoin derivatives and futures market based in the US, said that Bitcoin has been seeing unprecedented institutional interest for the first time in its history.

Chou said:

"The industry is seeing unprecedented institutional interest for the first time in Bitcoin’s history. I’ve been amazed that the strongest believers in cryptocurrency often start out the most skeptical. It’s a healthy skepticism. But at some point the perception shifts, and for many institutions — I think we’re finally there."

🗞 Ethereum Founder Responds to Charges of “Insane”, “Plutocratic” Governance

Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum’s cofounder, is increasingly finding himself target of very public rumors about his role in the project’s supposed love of secrecy. Charges of lacking transparency are equivalent to mortal sins in the cryptocurrency space. Ethereum too is particularly sensitive about accusations along these lines, especially in the ongoing light of a possible US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) crackdown. Mr. Buterin and his supporters are fighting back.

🗞 US: West Virginia Completes First Blockchain-Supported State Elections

Polls closed in West Virginia's primary election May 8, completing the first government-run, blockchain-supported vote in US history, ETHNews reported May 9. While most voters cast regular ballots, special voters in certain districts voted on a mobile blockchain-based platform.

"[The office of the Secretary believes] blockchain does provide a heightened level of security on this type of mobile voting app. We're genuinely hoping that will allow this type of a mobile app to be made available in the future – as early perhaps as our general election – to military voters."

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of yesterday :

Here is the current chart :

The Steem really doesn't know which direction to take. Yesterday it tested the resistance line (higher red line) and it created an immediate pull back. This pull back went to test the support line (lower red line) which created an immediate bounce.

As you can see, it becomes very hard to trade between all these lines except if you are doing scalping trades, I mean the trade of very little moves. For my part, I will wait that the market takes a direction and I will follow the trend when it will be done.
