REMME. ICO Review.

Today I present to you my first article dedicated to the project, the ICO of which has already passed in February 2018.
Once in a while I meet projects that, after money from the ICO is collected, continue to actively and even more actively develop their project in accordance with the road map, and sometimes even exceeding the expectations of the community. REMME is the one of such projects.

It is not often that the team of any project has done so much in a few months. They have launched a pilot project and implemented its technology in really working and popular authoritative projects in various fields, from mining to heavy engineering.

That is why, in the future, I plan to write about this interesting project created by Ukrainian guys. For today, having Hard Cap in the amount of 17.5 million dollars, the project has a market capitalization of more than 11.5 million dollars and is traded on such exchanges Tidex, Gate.io, Idex.

Nowadays we can see the constant growth of cybercrime.
Back in 2016, the attack on Yahoo, when about 1 billion Yahoo user accounts were compromised, was commonly discussed. Cybercriminals were able to obtain names, passwords and other personal data, such as phone numbers and answers to security questions. Unfortunately, this was not the first hacker attack on Yahoo! After that, the network was full of guides on how to hack into a Yahoo account.
Now we can often hear about hacker attacks on exchanges, wallets and other resources in the cryptoworld.
Now, in 2018, many know about the attacks on the largest exchange Binance and the most popular online wallet MyEtherWallet.
Currently, the global level of cyberattacks far exceeds the number of tools to effectively counteract these attacks. Reports show that cybersecurity is an industry of global growth. More than 70% of organizations increased their spending on cybersecurity in 2017, and not only by 58% as in the previous year.
There is also a problem with passwords.
Most people, including me, try to use the simplest combinations simultaneously on several websites not to forget the password. The base of 10 000 most common passwords gives access to 98% of all accounts, although the average user usually uses only 5 different passwords to access dozens of different services.

Currently, various companies spend a lot of money for cybersecurity. We can see how convenient services are, that allow your browser to memorize your passwords on different sites, such as Lastpass, for example. However, this gives only small improvements in security, without solving the problem fundamentally.
The main problem is the centralized database architectures, which stores logins and passwords on the server.
This means that if the server has been hacked, the attacker has access to all data. Unfortunately, even two-factor authentication (2FA) can be vulnerable. This is especially true for data, passed via SMS, since hackers can gain access to the user data, just having the user's phone number.


What solution does the REMME project offers? REMME creates a high-tech protection system. The goal is to create distributed management of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) by using Blockchain, which will help IoT companies, projects with financial, medtech or blockchain infrastructure solve security problems. PKI is a set of roles, policies and procedures, needed to create and manage digital certificates and public key encryption.
This is necessary to ensure the electronic transfer of information in e-commerce, online banking and confidential correspondence.
This eliminates passwords and possible human errors. Thus, a secure extra-class protection system is created, which is easy to use without compromising security.

  • Decentralized database is much more protected from hacker attacks, unlike the centralized one, which makes it the most reliable way to store confidential information.
  • Moreover, there is no need for a certification center, because everything is implemented in the blockchain technology and saves money for the partner company.
  • At the same time, your secret key remains your private, which never leaves your computer. Instead, the REMME certificate, signed with your private key, can function as your public key for any website or service.


Users can forget about filling out forms or long complicated passwords. From now on, one-click authentication is simple and secure.
REMME uses bots, designed for the most popular instant messaging applications. Instead of traditional text messages and OTP codes, your users receive an authentication token, sent via the messenger they have chosen.

The basic set of REMME technology is easily and quickly integrated and does not require special skills or training. The template of the registration form is easily set up with the help of the administrator control panel.

Not operators, REMME authorizes devices and applications. That is why it can be used both for authorization in transactions between people, and between IoT devices at the same security level.
