🗞 Japan: Seven Cryptocurrency Exchanges Could Receive FSA-Issued Licenses in Two Months

According to new insight into the Japanese financial agency’s review process of companies applying for a cryptocurrency exchange license, seven applications will be either approved or rejected within two months. Cointelegraph Japan reported on this development on Jan. 12.

The new information in regard to the review process offered by the Financial Services Agency (FSA) revealed that it involves a lengthy procedure that takes almost six months from the time of application — which includes the submission of answers to over 400 questions — to official decline or approval.

The Latin American peer-to-peer (P2P) cryptocurrency markets have a seen a significant spike heading into 2019, with the Colombian, Peruvian, and Venezuelan Localbitcoins markets posting record volume when measuring in both fiat and BTC. The Argentinian, Dominican, and Mexican markets also posted record volume for P2P trade in recent weeks.

The months of November and December 2018 saw the Colombian Localbitcoins post consecutive records for weekly trade activity.

🗞 Multi-Blockchain RPG Gone Mobile

The established blockchain game developer 0xGames has announced that its RPG battler 0xWarriors is now available on Google Play.

Players can now try out the gameplay features not just on the web but on Android devices as well. According to the studio, 0xWarriors will be coming to App Store in the nearest future. The team hopes this move will help to build a stronger player base as more features will be landing on the battlefields soon.

With the game having gone mobile, 0xGames is now aiming to make good on their promise to connect new blockchains to the game. TRON is the first one to get linked up: the developers have made it public that 0xWarriors joined TRON's $100 million blockchain game fund Tron Arcade. According to the team, Tron Arcade will boost their efforts in making blockchain gaming a really engaging experience. As for the other chains, they will follow in the coming months.

🗞 Conferences continue to thrive despite industry downturn

Over the last year, cryptocurrency prices have dropped significantly and mainstream attention has been waning in recent months. However, according to recent data, the digital currency and blockchain conference circuit did not see a steady decline during the last six months of 2018.

“Despite the crypto bear market during 2018, the number of industry related conferences did not see a steady decline in the latter half of the year,” the analytical data website Tradeblock detailed on Thursday.

It got me thinking that there was an amazing business in virtual goods coming.

🗞 This $100K Luxury Swiss Watch Will Have a Built-In Crypto Wallet

A. Favre & Fils, a luxury Swiss watchmaker that traces its family history back three centuries, is developing a handcrafted mechanical timepiece with a built-in crypto-wallet.

The company announced last week that the watch will have crypto “cold wallet” and “state of the art proprietary security solution” based on blockchain technology.

A. Favre & Fils CEO Laurent Favre said in a statement:

“We have developed this first timepiece with the idea of offering something useful for the crypto-community, not simply something to spend their money on.”

What a sad day today for the STEEM. Earlier today, we were having a UP of aboud 10% but the DOWN break out on the BTC stopped that trend and created a bearish trend on the STEEM also. We are going in the direction of the support line in red around 0.23$ which is the low point on the STEEM since the last months. Let's hope that this support will hold us.
