Working Title (MSP Creative Writing Curation)
But where were the odes
to ash, concrete, and glass?
City-Bred by @justatouchfey is a gorgeous piece of poetry that makes use of alliteration and imagery to explore the magic of the city.
In the deepest of the deep
below the ocean's lowest reach
In a cavity of solid stone
A protoplasmic mass awaits
Eyes of the Deep by @carlgnash is a poem that was better explained by the great @geke in her comment on the piece- "I love the internal rhyme of processes and hypotheses. Those words hang in my ear... it's an imperfect rhyme but the p's just resonate."
My intention is for this world, as it evolves, to serve as a free-to-use universe for authors and creative types who are looking for inspiration, but who lack the time or even the will to go the lengths of creating an entire world.
This contest by @lordless.exile offers up quite a bit of steem to the winners of his contest- 25 steem to the first place winner, plus steem to the second and third place winner as well! Essentially, he has created an entire world, and would like contestants to write or create something that takes place within the world. It's a fascinating idea for a contest, and I think it would be really fun for writers to take part. Go win some steem!
However, she chose none of them. She chose the handsome young Greek who walked by her tenement on his paper route every day to rich men's homes, who she knew spent almost all that he made every day on buying ONE carnation for her, every day.
Carnation by @deeanndmathews is a sweet freewrite about an old fashioned love and its impact on family.
He saw her gazing out the window, a far off look on her face. The sunlight caressed her face giving her an ethereal glow.
"What happened to us?" Cara whispered.
What Happened To Us-Benny's Side by @merej99 is a flash fiction piece with an interesting twist. She also wrote it from the other character's persepective as well, which is a fun exercise for a writer.
