@Curie: Community-building Support Application for the Curation and Engagement Leagues
This post is my application for renewed sponsorship of the Curation and Engagement Leagues, which have been running since the 27th September 2017.

Curation and Engagement League Background
Since the beginning of 2018, I have produced a weekly post with a title similar to 'Curation and Engagement Leagues'. The aim of this post is to encourage and reward engagement on the Steem blockchain. Certain metrics like comment count, location of comment, number of posts, and witness votes are scored and a table is produced showing the top 100 places.

During 2018, the accounts that have registered to participate have grown each week and now total 623. In the week just passed, 374 of these accounts showed activity on Steem, enabling a score to be produced.
In a report produced at the beginning or the summer, the Engagement League showed a far better retention percentage, than Steem as a whole:
Of this almost 87% of accounts have remained active. That’s more than twice that of Steemit in general.
The Engagement League has also potentially provided its members with a boosted User Authority score in the engagement metric - see @steem-ua for details. A frequent high-flyer in the League is @janton, rates as number 1 across the whole blockchain in the Steem sincerity rankings for 'Comment Exchange Count'.
Every week for the past two months, the Engagement League post has received a message from @arcange stating that the post has ranked in the top 10 with regards to comment count.
Distribution of Sponsorship funds
Curie has sponsored the Engagement League for the past 4 months at 100 STEEM per month. This has provided 25 STEEM per week in prizes, which I have added to in the form of wallet transfers and a @steem-bounty each week. A renewed sponsorship of the same amount would be fantastic.
The total sent out over the past 2 months is 243.5 STEEM, and 40 STEEM in bounties. These transactions are listed below.

@curie. I have to say that this is one of the best endeavours on the blockchain right now from the point of user involvement. Please know that the engagement league being run by @abh12345 that you had been supporting for almost a year has turned out to be one of the best project ever implemented in the blockchain.
I am still new with the league, but how I wished I had known it sooner. Truly, its main objective to create major engagement has been reached and surpassed even!..
Initially, we can retrieve our own data of engagement activities through a lot of links. But with the summary presented by ash is something quite better and easily understood at one glance. And you get to see other people standings too. And the ranking gets all the fun because its too challenging who goes up and down the ladder.
For me, in behalf of all the planktons, this is one right venue to boost of what little we have. Its too nice to note that our value grows at a fast rate than just doing our own thing. The rewards are fantastic bonuses for a job well done, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!... But the greatest part was not that at all. Actually, it was on the stories and laughters shared as we hop to bother other people. 😉😁

:{)>Finally! Get to put in my two cents. For what it's worth, @curie, I believe wholeheartedly in this endeavor. What you all have been doing with your own curation contest is happening all over the blockchain in these leagues, and many of the top participants in your challenge also belong to this engagement league. I hope it isn't necessary for the leagues to prove themselves, though. I hope they've more than proven themselves, week in and week out. The best thing i came across since my steemit journey begins. The curation and engagement league keep the momentum going on steemit as every user try to fair well...they engage and do meaning engagement with other authors making steemit a happening place. ...i wish @abh12345 this post is just a formality for @curie and there is no problem in further renewal......All the best !

For @randomwanderings and @curie, I have been having my engagement tracked by Asher and his curation league efforts for the past 34 weeks, when @davemccy let me know about it during one of the #newbieresteemday post I had made or he mentioned in a comment, I jumped in right away as that has been a focus of mine for the last 8 months, of helping and providing support to new users. Ashers league let me know how I was doing in that regard. lately I have been more focused on building my account so as to provide better assistance in the future to new users.
I have mentioned Ashers league to several people a few of which have come over and have been happy with the information that he provides and most have been surprised at receiving an award from him, That is how I see it and several others see it, as an AWARD not a reward. So your continued support for him and his league would be much appreciated by myself and I am sure others.

Asher you forgot to say to @curie that the EL is also a learning curve. That engagement can be done I several ways. That the fact that in the EL ist possible to ask questions and that the selfvoting is a thing that can be changed while still Being engaged on the platform with even higher VP, and that the overall result is high everyweek. + 600 people are in the Leage if All participants pay 0,15 once, your are safe for the next four weeks. Maybe @ janton wants to invest some off his prizemoney 😉 I would!
