Hello dear readers! This is the SING IT team that is talking to you, actually, we have almost 12 weeks in activity (because week 7, 8 and 9 were double week participation) within the platform and we keep growing up, but to make a step forward we decided to ask for support to @curie who's making an initiative to support communities, contest and so on within this beautiful platform.

So, let's start this application by answering the questions that @curie establish for us:

What is your community/contest and what is its purpose here on Steem?

The SING IT contest is an initiative that was developed by @ilazramusic, @nnnarvaez and me with the support of @castellano Witness and @c0ff33a 2 months ago for the main reason that there aren't contest in Steemit that focus the support on singers. We all know about the Steemit Open Mic contest to be the most popular and highly prized of all the music initiatives within the platform, but they ask for musicians that play accompanied with other musicians alive or by playing an instrument themselves as a required fact.

So, if you have an awesome voice and you don't know how to play an instrument or you just don't have one you can't compete in the contest.

We think about it and made this contest to support and reward all that singers that love to SING and have a great talent for it without asking for the instrument playing, they just can sing with a Karaoke instrumental or even a capella and they'll be participating (and can win also).

How much support are you seeking per month for the two-month period?

Thinking about the possibilities that the @curie financial support can give us we develop a budget of 140 STEEM per month, so it would be a total of 280 STEEM for that two-month period.

How will this support be used?

The best way to attract people to any contest are the prizes (obviously), so we'll use that budget to rise up the prizes in an awesome way! We're giving prizes from a 15 STEEMS rewards pool divided like this:

1rst Place: 7 STEEM
2nd Place: 5 STEEM
3rd Place: 3 STEEM

And right now we're on a special edition week and we're giving a 16 STEEM prize divided equally in 2 places for people that have to participate with a guest that hasn't participate yet on the contest. We made this to spread the voice about the contest a lot and to keep bringing quality material for the platform.

So, our mission is to use the budget to rise up that prizes a lot by week, and also to reward our SING IT team for the work that we made every week to keep the contest in activity. Of course, we'll make a post talking about the support that @curie gave us (in case of being approved) and we're going to make the actualization of the new contest post with the new prizes.

Approximately how many users participate in your community or contest?

Every week the numbers change, when we make normal weeks within the contest we achieve almost 7-10 participations, but when we make special editions the number rise up to 10-14 participations per week, we also had weeks when we achieve only 5-7 participations so we have about 10 participations approximately per week.

We're developing new ways to spread the voice about the contest and we want the English-speaking community to join us too and participate because all that participation that we had since the first week have been from Spanish-speakers.

How will supporting your community or contest help grow the Steem community?

We're bringing more and more people every day by spreading the voice, starting with our country, here in Venezuela Steemit is a way to survive, so the prize that we're giving can make a Venezuelan eat for a week (or week and a half another one), if we rise up the prizes we'll have more and more people uploading their entries to participate.

Another fact is that some post within the contest has been curated by @curie, so we're making the people bring quality content to increase the value of the platform and the value of the STEEM itself too, and we're just starting, like we said we have just 2 months in activity (since July 2, 2018).

Un concurso creado por cantantes y para cantantes!

¡Saludos a todos los queridos lectores! Les habla el equipo del Concurso SING IT, actualmente tenemos 12 semanas en actividad (esto motivado a que las semanas 7, 8 y 9 han sido participaciones de doble semana) dentro de la plataforma y continuamos creciendo, pero para dar un paso al frente con más profundidad hemos decidido pedir apoyo a @curie quién está haciendo una iniciativa para apoyar comunidades, concursos y demás dentro de esta hermosa plataforma.

Así que, para comenzar esta propuesta de apoyo vamos a responder las preguntas que @curie establece para nosotros:

¿Cuál es tu proyecto y cuál es su propósito acá en Steem?

El Concurso SING IT es una iniciativa que fue desarrollada por @ilazramusic, @nnnarvaez actualmente contamos con el apoyo de los testigos Testigo @castellano and @C0ff33a hace 2 meses por el hecho de que no existen concursos en Steemit que enfoquen su apoyo en los cantantes. Todos conocemos el Steemit Open Mic como el concurso más popular y con las mejores recompensas de todos los concursos musicales dentro de la plataforma, sin embargo, en ese concurso piden que los músicos hagan su interpretación con un acompañamiento musical en vivo, es decir, si no tienen un acompañante musical no pueden participar.

Pensando un poco en ese sentido decidimos hacer este concurso para apoyar y recompensar a todos esos cantantes que aman cantar y tienen un increíble talento para hacerlo. Simplemente pueden venir y cantar con un instrumental de karaoke o inclusive cantar "a capella" y eso puede contar como una participación válida (e inclusive ganar).

¿Cuánto apoyo están buscando por mes para el período de dos meses?

Pensando sobre las posibilidades que @curie nos podría otorgar con un apoyo por financiamiento desarrollamos un presupuesto de 140 STEEM por mes, lo quedaría un total de 280 STEEM para ese período de dos meses de apoyo.

¿Cómo será usado este apoyo?

La mejor manera de atraer personas a cualquier concurso es a través de la premiación (obviamente), así que ¡usaremos ese presupuesto para aumentar la premiación de una manera increíble! Hemos estamos dando una premiación de 15 STEEM en total dividido de la siguiente manera:

1er Lugar: 7 STEEM
2do Lugar: 5 STEEM
3er Lugar: 3 STEEM

Y actualmente estamos en una semana de edición especial y estamos dando una premiación de 16 STEEM dividida en partes iguales para 2 personas que participen de la siguiente forma: El concursante deberá invitar a alguien a participar en el concurso (que no haya participado anteriormente) y así la premiación será dividida en partes iguales para ambos. Hicimos esto para correr la voz sobre el concurso y para mantenernos trayendo material de calidad para la plataforma.

Así que nuestra misión es usar el presupuesto para aumentar la premiación por semana, y además recompensar a nuestro equipo SING IT por la labor que hacemos cada semana para mantener el concurso en actividad. Por supuesto, haremos un post hablando de como @curie nos dio el apoyo (en caso de que aprueben nuestra propuesta) y vamos a hacer la actualización del nuevo concurso con la nueva premiación.

¿Aproximadamente cuántos usuarios participan en tu comunidad o concurso?

Cada semana los números cambian, cuando hacemos semanas sin temáticas alcanzamos entre unas 7-10 participaciones, pero cuando hacemos ediciones especiales los números suben hasta un tope de 10-14 participaciones por semana, aunque también hemos tenido semanas donde solo hemos alcanzado unas 5-7 participaciones así que sacando un estimado podemos decir que tenemos 10 participaciones en promedio por semana.

Estamos desarrollando nuevas maneras de correr la voz sobre el concurso y queremos que la comunidad anglosajona se nos una también y participe ya que las participaciones mencionadas anteriormente son solo de comunidades de habla-hispana.

¿Cómo ayudará tu comunidad o concurso a hacer crecer Steem con nuestra ayuda?

Estamos trayendo cada vez más y más personas corriendo la voz, empezando con nuestro país, acá en Venezuela Steemit es una manera de sobrevivir, así que la premiación que damos puede hacer que un Venezolano coma por una semana (o semana y media inclusive), si aumentamos las recompensas tendremos muchas más personas subiendo sus participaciones.

Otro hecho tangible es que dentro del concurso han habido post que han sido curados por @curie, así que estamos haciendo que las personas traigan más contenido de calidad para aumentar el valor de la plataforma y el valor del STEEM como tal también, y solo estamos comenzando, porque como dijimos, apenas tenemos 2 meses en actividad (desde el 2 de Julio de 2018).
