Crimson Rosella (Australian east coast native parrot)
This is a female, Crimson Rosella (Australian east coast native parrot). As with most of the parrots or parakeets, the female is less bright in colours. That a mixed crimson x eastern rosella, found a lot in Victoria, Melbourne inner & outer suburbs heaps in the country. Very easy to breed.
Beautiful birds. I love seeing them. I feed them in my backyard. They just love sunflower seeds the most. I get finches, warblers, cedar waxwings, doves, blue jays, cardinals, blackbirds, whippoorwills, robins, northern flickers, and have had a couple of Baltimore orioles. and I also have hummingbirds too. Ruby throated ones mostly. Had a few the size of a bumble bee too.
