Proposal of a Dapp of micropayments in steem by SMS for VENEZUELA

Venezuela is currently experiencing social and economic problems. For this reason, the majority of the inhabitants do not have a smart phone for high-performance electronic transfers, which limits the use of large technologies.

Venezuela is one of the countries that uses more steemit, which means that many users are holders of the cryptocurrency steem, also it is one of the Latin American countries that makes more bitcoin transactions.

We think it is time to create ideas to give extra utility to the steem currency, as a way to pay for goods and services.

One of the great challenges is to create a functional code so that companies and people selling services can lose the fear of using these mechanisms as a payment method.

The proposal that we make as a team is to create a payment method through SMS (text message) so that users of steem can make micro-payments in Venezuela. This tool would be linked to a Dapp where those who want to use it have to register with their steem account and follow the corresponding steps for security.

That people with a simple SMS can transfer small amounts of steem to another person, business or exchange house. It would also be a great option when users do not have a good internet connection on a phone or computer.

This payment method through SMS, was already implemented by banks in Venezuela with Fiat money and was a success.

Before publishing this information, this proposal was discussed in several podcasts in the presence of the Venezuelan community, being this widely accepted.

The next step is to structure the idea with developers to measure its feasibility. Then we will make the formal proposal and if it is accepted we will proceed to execute the development plan.
