Musing,not the end of the road.
Am I surprised?The answer is a big NO.Rewind back to Steemfest which wasn't that long ago.I think it was only about 2 months or so,but does seem a little longer as so much has happened in such a short time.
The biggest thing I took out of all the announcements over that period was that Dapps have to have a source of income besides the curation rewards from delegation. Without the delegation you don't have a business model.
Those that know me,I am a regular on Musing and over the last month have been checking everyday that the delegation is still there.I used to get frustrated with other users saying how can we make it more popular blah blah blah.
Without any announcements coming from Musing on a way forward and a plan B there days were numbered.I kept on saying they need to do something without rocking the boat too much.You know how fickle some people can be,but it is still salvageable if they think out the box.
Musing doesn't need 1 Million SP,but maybe 200 000 SP would suffice.All they have to do is stop powering down and grow the account.The power downs were a red flag to me and I was hoping they had some other ideas and that was the reason for this action.Pay your curators from the vote,but never power down.
If Musing allowed delegation and started a point system like Steemhunt they could be back up and running within a few weeks.It is a popular platform and the users and developers deserve better.What has happened is actually a good thing and solutions now need to be found.
The users on Musing are mainly small fish,but I know most would throw some SP into the pot to get it going.It won't be a big pot,but it would be a start.

No not at all as they were powering down over the last two weeks anyway.Just the way the voting happened on Saturday morning.They voted about 20 answers all with 20 percent and one 50 percent vote.It just wasn't normal as you know most votes are 1 % and 3 %.Just thought it was out of the norm.
Powering down when in the receipt of a large delegation is never an inspiring sign eh
No it doesn't fill you with loads of confidence and has bugged me for the last 2 weeks that they have been doing it.I thought maybe they have a plan and who knows I hope they do.Maybe the delegation will come back but a plan needs to happen anyway.If there was no plan and it was for paying curators then using the vote would have been more appropriate.
It works have been a reasonable vote so definitely. It might inspire them to come up with something, we will see!

After the way they voted yesterday I thought it they knew something already.Normal votes are 1% and 3%. Yesterday I saw 20% and 50 % votes. Was just very strange and didn't make sense.
