Join Us At The Deep Dives Research Project

Approximately 6 weeks ago, I released an article called Why You Should Join the Deep Dives Research Challenge. The intention was to try and drive general interest in the project and designed to promote and encourage steemians to join in the Deep Dives Research Project. From a personal point of view, I consider this to be one of the most important projects on the blockchain, whilst at the same time not trying to take away any ‘steem’ from any other similar or community projects.

I took the tame and general approach of trying to describe this initiative in a simple to understand format, partly in my own words as a contributor, whilst also using the introductory post written by @v4vapid on behalf of the yet to be created @deepdives account at that moment in time. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to garner any further real interest or drive any significant traffic towards the project from outside of the already established and small group of researchers, who are already involved, or have been in the past with this project. Of course there are many reasons for this and one that was mentioned in my earlier post. This time however, I will take a more direct and gloves off approach as to why people may not be getting involved in this project. Even though, I generally prefer not to get over-opinionated on my blog, it seems from my general observations that it’s what people like and want…so here it goes then!

Taking Off The Gloves

For some reason many people have the perception that anyone who has an inquisitive or critical mind when it comes to government overreach or corruption in its vast and various forms, that this makes them a lunatic or a crazy wack-eyed conspiracy theorist….Ummm no, that’s a complete bunch of baloney! Of course no-one is doubting, that there are some insane theories out there from actual crazies, but I would hasten to say that this is perpetuated and pushed forward deliberately by those who are trying to avoid being exposed, so they muddy the waters and discredit any logical and critically minded individual into not delving into this territory. It’s very embarrassing to those same entities to have these wrongs exposed. It’s called an agenda, based on a world view of pure self-interest…I don’t think we need to go into a history lesson on where the term conspiracy theorist originated, but I will link to an article for anyone who may not be aware. Even a general dictionary search gives a conclusive answer as to how the term has been misappropriated over time, to serve that agenda of self-interest.

Even though there are many amateur bloggers who are willing to share strong opinions, comments and write countless articles on the exact same themes and topics on their own blogs on a daily/weekly basis, for some reason this all gets thrown out the window because of a real fear of having to visit any leak and archive websites that are part of the research prerequisite. It stands out in a lot of comments I have read in the threads of the @deepdives community account announcement posts, as well as other articles and blogs I have visited. So often there are comments of encouragement and a willingness to participate, but when the deadline for submissions comes to a close, the numbers pale in comparison to the commentary of willingness to participate in something so profound and important. Don’t get me wrong I completely understand why this is the case, and it’s down to each individuals free choice of what they are either interested in or want to get involved with. However this is something a lot more important than just a passing or general interest topic. This is the future of humanity and the direction of the world itself that is at stake. Not a small thing hey? Would you like to see the wars end? Maybe the injustices we see all around the world in their various forms? How about the future of you children and your children’s children?

Many in the alternative media and public blogging community also write and speak about how fear is used as a weapon itself, from the same malevolent and oppressive forces we are trying to expose. So then why are we letting fear win, when we know it’s being used as one of the main weapons of choice against us? As the old saying goes, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Since there are so many articles about these topics being written anyway, why not dig and find the actual real documents themselves to back up your own individual research and opinions? Why not verify your findings, rather than just rely on what you heard or what others have researched for you. It is entirely possible that your own research may uncover something that nobody has found before! That’s the entire point here…real verifiable documents from the source itself, equal facts. Documented facts are the essence of truth, which we as a blogging community can use to archive on this blockchain as a learning tool for future visitors to have access to for years to come. The chances of errors and misinformation goes way down with genuine sources, and can only help the cause of the general message and movement in the effort to change the shift in public consciousness on these issues.

There are also many who believe that these leak and archive websites are compromised in some way and lack adequate security features for the public to navigate their way through the sea of information without being traced and tracked. Well here is the reality….Everything is basically traced and tracked anyway, and it’s obviously no longer a big secret! You cannot really hide in this day and age, so isn’t that a good reason in itself to actually expose it to the core? If we do, we remove the everyday fear that is instilled in us with the knowledge that the possibility even exists, and we take back the power into our own hands. So let’s change it for everyone’s sake, by writing about it with the advantage of having access to documents we never had before! The more people who participate in this type of research, the more difficult it becomes to stop, and there comes a real possibility of reaching that tipping point of real grassroots change, powered by us the citizen journalists. That’s what it has come to. The media conglomerates have become just as corrupt as any politician, so we cannot rely on them anymore for honest reporting and journalism. It’s now our job to do the honest reporting and investigative journalism with the leaked documents and information that is generally ignored or played down by the same media prestitutes.

I understand that there are those who point the finger at some of these websites who leak this information, and have doubts and issues with some of the characters involved. No matter what your opinion is of these personalities, I believe that it’s mostly irrelevant in the overall scheme of things. Why? Because the documents are real! Let’s not lose focus on that point, because everything else becomes a distraction. That’s what the media does. Focus on the personalities to distract from the information itself. Besides, for the time being, there is no better way to go about this and no better time either!

So let’s stop making excuses and start challenging the system to demand that this world we live in changes for the betterment of everyone’s future. All of us have a responsibility to do this…Every single one of us. The more people that get involved in this type of research, the harder it becomes for these power structures to control it. With a collaborative effort by all, we can achieve great things together if we wish it to be so! There has never been a better time to spread this message and information than right now. The information highway can be used against us in various forms, but we can also use it as a positive force to change the hearts and minds of those who are unaware of what is really happening behind the curtain of secrecy and control.

If you are concerned about your identity and privacy in the online world, then we at least have the opportunity by choice to be anonymous, for the most part (especially decentralised blockchains). If you really are holding back from this type of research based on that fact, then create an anonymous account that has no relevant personal identity markers. There is also nothing stopping a group of researches collaborating on a story together, which can also help in obscuring an individual identity.
