Logo designs for upstart business!

I got the opportunity to create the logo for a new upstart business that is creating and selling bath bombs online. I concepted with the business owner on ideas playing upon the word "bomb". When first discussing it with him, I told him I wanted to do one logo that had more of a feminine (so to speak) look to it and one that had more of a masculine tone to it. The first one promoted more of a relaxation idea, with a bubble being the focal point. Here was the first design that I gave him:
The second logo was more of the masculine look. I played off the idea of bomb, making a "nuclear bomb" mushroom cloud entirely out of bubbles. I thought it would be a good play-on of the brand's name. Here was the second logo that I was able to come up with:
After having a group discussion with the other part owner, they came to a consensus that the best idea was to go with the first logo. Though they like the second logo and feel they can use that logo for later versions of the bombs (especially when they try to cater towards a male clientele), they feel like the first logo is the best to start out with and brand themselves with it.
It is truly an honor when people ask you to create art for them. It is also a rewarding experience when those people are able to become successful. We are all in this together and there isn't much more that is rewarding than helping out your fellow man.
So keep an eye out for these folks. They are going to begin production in the next few weeks and already have a site purchased and in the works to update it. Here is a link to their site:
