SELF GOVERNANCE
Hello friends, I learned a new lesson today. It is about Self Governance and i would love to share it with you.
The online dictionary explains governance as:
"the action or manner of governing a state, organization, etc.
The word “governance”is coined from a Latin verb “gubernare,” which was originally from the Greek word “kubernaein, meaning“to steer.”Following on its etymology, governance can be referred to as the manner of steering or governing, or of directing and controlling, a group of people or a state.
On a more common definition, Governance is the exercise of power or authority - as it relates to politics, it is exercise of power by political leaders for the benefit of their own subjects or citizens.
Now what is Self Governance?
Just as the word "Personal," personal governance involves steering a permanent personal development culture..
Personal governance has to do with the way in which we lead our lives and organize our lifestyle in line with different situations.
It involves drafting a psychological contract within and for yourselves, generating expectations regarding your own actions and commitments more than just holding a mental picture of what you want.
Personal Governance also involves managing your emotions to align with your Personal Mission.
More so, it exercising authority over your choices, actions and expectations.
It therefore follows that, you should not leave your life to chance. Take charge of it!
Lead yourself before you think of leading others.
