Can a picture fire up your posts? (EN/DE)

English:

I was wondering, what makes me here on Steemit to click on a published post or not. Since I am a visual person, the pictures of the posts are with me. The headlines come second. Especially since they are not so easily multilingual representable. Therefore, their purposeful use is a bit more difficult.
Pictures on the other hand work in all languages. But beware! One can not generalize this.
The type of pictures that appeal to someone is then different.
Normally you pay attention to the target audience. However, this is only marginally or not at all definable with Steemit.

Since I do not yet know if and how to measure the click rate in Steemit, this statement is only subjective. However, my previous experience with pictures in my own contributions shows on the basis of the comments and reviews that the image used is already very important.

What also strikes me is the presentation in the different DApps.
At the website Steempeak.com, which I like to use because of the beautiful design, the pictures get a much bigger rating than Steemit himself. It's the same on the Mobile App Partiko.

In any case, the images used should catch the viewer's attention.

Are your experiences the same?

Bilder hingegen wirken in allen Sprachen.

Yes, I have the same feeling, that a well chosen picture can make a difference between a post that gets more upvotes and / or comments and one that doesn't. No way to really know the CTR, we can only estimate it via those elements. Steemit has a "number of views" feature, but I heard it's not very precise.

Well said that pictures work well in all languages! I haven't thought of that, but it's definitely very true. SteemPeak is highly focused on the image(s) instead of text, so there the effect will be higher, I agree, provided that the viewer uses SteemPeak.

Thanks, Adrian. Appreciated your comment.

I agree... pictures paint a much better description than words... your click through rate improves with a quality image... No image... then your click through rate is the lowest... that is typical of any social / visual platform.

Thanks, Paul. Yes, that's what I am thinking too.
