Heute starte ich mit meinem Rückblick auf den Roadtrip durch die USA, genauer gesagt durch Kalifornien.

Steemit! Hey how are you?
Today I start with my review of the road trip through the USA, more precisely through California.

Los ging es im August, wir sind von Köln aus mit dem ICE nach Frankfurt und von dort aus mit dem Flieger direkt nach San Francisco geflogen. Der Flug war entspannt, soweit das ein 11-stündiger Flug eben sein kann, in der Holzklasse... ohne Fernseher...
Naja, wer braucht den auch schon?

It started in August, we flew from Cologne with the ICE to Frankfurt and from there with the plane directly to San Francisco. The flight was relaxed, as far as an 11-hour flight can be, in the wood class ... without TV ...
Well, who needs that too?

Also, angekommen in San Fran holten wir fix unsere Koffer ab und machten uns dan schlau wie wir zum Hostel kommen. Zuerst einmal waren wir aber etwas irritiert von dem Wetter. Nebel? Der sogar so dicht ist, dass man nass wird? Na gut, soll sich wohl besser... (falsch gedacht!).
Somit also erstmal in den Zug vom Flughafen Richtung Downtown! Yeeeah, Downtown! :D

So, arrived in San Fran, we picked up our bags and made us smart as we get to the hostel. First of all, we were a bit confused by the weather. Fog? Which is even so tight that you get wet? Alright, I think it's better ... (thought wrong!).
Thus, first in the train from the airport in the direction of downtown! Yeeeah, Downtown! : D

Im Zug trafen wir direkt eine sehr nette, ältere Dame die uns einige Tipps zur Orientierung gab, so sagte sie uns zum Beispiel an welcher Station wir aussteigen sollen. Außerdem unterhielten wir uns mit ihr über Trump, Deutschland und über Berlin. Es bleibt festzuhalten, sie war kein Trump-Fan! :D

In the train we met a very nice, elderly lady who gave us some tips for orientation, so she told us for example at which station we should get off. We also talked to her about Trump, Germany and about Berlin. It remains to be noted, she was not a Trump fan! : D

Da ich gegenüber von meinem Kumpel und der Dame saß, schweifte mein Blick immer wieder aus aus dem Fenster. "Krass, hier siehts ja echt aus wie in den ganzen Filmen! Und sieh da, eine Corvette!"
Leider war es immer noch sehr nebelig, wir hofften aber weiterhin auf besseres Wetter, der Tag war ja noch jung, zumindest hier in San Francisco. Wir waren bereits über 24 Stunden auf den Beinen...

As I sat across from my buddy and the lady, my eyes kept wandering out of the window. "Krass, this looks really like in all the movies! And look there, a Corvette!"
Unfortunately, it was still very foggy, but we still hoped for better weather, the day was still young, at least here in San Francisco. We were already on the legs for over 24 hours ...

Als wir dann durch einen Tunnel schossen, nutzte ich die Gelegenheit und warf mal einen Blick durch das Abteil. Und da war wieder einer dieser Aha!-Momente. Ich weiß nicht woher immer dieser Gedanke kommt, dass in den Filmen alles gestellt wäre, aber die Leute sehen hier tatsächlich so aus!
Natürlich sehen einige "ganz normal" im deutschen Auge aus, aber es gibt eben auch viele, die schon sehr "amerikanisch" aussehen.

When we then shot through a tunnel, I took the opportunity and took a look through the compartment. And there was again one of those Aha! Moments. I do not know where that idea ever comes from, that everything is in the movies, but people actually look like this!
Of course, some look "quite normal" in the German eye, but there are also many who look very "American".

Ich hoffe ihr hattet etwas Spaß beim lesen und beim betrachten der Bilder!
