Thousands of child wishes that make you think.

Hello friends of the cultivated child fun😀.

A few days ago I was with my son in the children's biennial, although at first he was a bit sceptical because he is now slowly coming to an age where you don't want to have much to do with younger children.

Hallo Freunde der gepflegten Kinderbespaßung 😀.

Vor ein paar Tagen war ich mit meinem Sohnemann in der Kinderbiennale,
obwohl er anfänglich etwas skeptisch war da er ja jetzt langsam in ein Alter kommt wo man mit jüngeren Kindern eigentlich nicht mehr viel zu tun haben möchte.

From several acquaintances we had heard that it was a very cool participatory exhibition.
It was, too.
Because he likes to take pictures I was able to convince him to come along.

Von mehreren Bekannten hatten wir gehört das es eine sehr coole Mitmachausstellung sei.
War es auch.
Da er auch sehr gerne fotografiert konnte ich ihn doch überzeugen mitzukommen.

I would have gone alone if necessary but that would have been a bit strange, with camera and without child.
Actually it's bad that you have to think about that at all but as a father I understand that of course.

Ich wäre notfalls auch alleine gegangen aber das wäre wohl etwas komisch gewesen, mit Kamera und ohne Kind.
Eigentlich schlimm das man sich überhaupt solche Gedanken machen muß aber als Vater verstehe ich das natürlich.

His first sentence after we arrived, in a slightly reproachful tone "Papa, I am the oldest child here".
Well, wait until we are at the 3D printers again I answered.
And so it was, children his age sat at the PC and developed 3D models.

Sein erster Satz nachdem wir ankamen, in einem leicht vorwurfsvollem Ton ,,Papa, ich bin das älteste Kind hier“.
Na warte doch erstmal ab bis wir bei den 3D-Druckern sind erwiederte ich.
Und so war es auch, Kinder in seinem Alter saßen am PC und entwickelten 3D Modelle.

Otherwise there was of course much more to discover, a true children's paradise.

Sonst gab es natürlich noch viel mehr zu entdecken, ein wahres Kinderparadies.

But what I found most interesting was this room where the children could write their wishes on a wide gift ribbon.

Was ich allerdings am interessantesten fand war dieser Raum in dem die Kinder ihre Wünsche auf breites Geschenkband schreiben konnten.

Since there was a lot going on and the children are, of course, pretty well turned off, I could hardly take any reasonable photos.
Nevertheless I would like to share some of them with you.

Da sehr viel los war und die Kinder selbstverständlich ordentlich abgedreht sind konnte ich kaum vernünftige Fotos knipsen.
Einige möchte ich trotzdem mit euch teilen.

What I got to read there made me think.
With every wish that I discovered and could also decipher, I once again became really aware of what we adults actually lack.
Namely dreams, fantasy, charity and an eye for the essential.

Was ich da zu lesen bekam brachte mich zum nachdenken.
Mit jedem Wunsch den ich entdeckte und auch entschlüsseln konnte wurde mir wieder mal so richtig bewusst was uns Erwachsenen eigentlich fehlt.
Nämlich Träume, Fantasie, Nächstenliebe und der Blick für das Wesentliche.

And the smart Theo wishes he had 100 wishes off.

After half an hour we completely forgot to take pictures and only read.

Nach einer halben Stunde haben wir das fotografieren völlig vergessen und nur noch gelesen.

Some wanted to be superheroes, magicians or rappers.
Others wanted to be siblings, mobile phones or nicer teachers.
That their parents are dear to each other again.
That the adults pay more attention to the environment and don't kill any more animals.
There were so many wishes to be realized.
But we have different ideas what is important.
Too bad, really.

Einige wollte Superhelden, Zauberer oder Rapper sein.
Andere haben sich Geschwister, Handys oder nettere Lehrer gewünscht.
Das ihre Eltern wieder lieb zueinander sind.
Das die Erwachsenen mehr auf die Umwelt achten und keine Tiere mehr töten.
Es waren soviele Wünsche dabei die eigentlich zu realisieren wären.
Aber wir Erwachsenen haben eben andere Vorstellungen was wichtig ist.
Eigentlich schade.

The top wishes were health, peace and love.
I think something similar would come out if you asked old people about their wishes

Die Topwünsche waren Gesundheit, Frieden und Liebe.
Ich glaube etwas ähnliches würde rauskommen wenn man alte Menschen nach ihren Wünschen befragte.
