Why I love this beach so much. -- Warum ich diesen Strand so liebe

It was in Sri Lanka. In the south of the country is a beach called Mirissa Beach. At first glance, perhaps a beach like many others. But he's got something special.

Very nice flat this beach goes into the water. So that children there have as much fun as the adults, who plunge a few meters into the breaking waves in the floods. Because outside, just 50 metres from the beach, the beautiful waves are breaking.

Salima was sometimes annoyed that I didn't come out of the water and that I was there in the waves for half an eternity. It's just a dream. High waves come rolled up and every time it is an absolute adventure to mess with every wave.

Although it's not easy and the waves are really borderline on some days, I'm still in. Once it was even so strong that the wave had carried me on it for a few seconds (without a surfboard) and then tore me to the ground. And then swirled through it in the water. At this moment, you're really helpless at the mercy of the wave. No change to do anything. I could only try not to turn upside down, because otherwise I would have been pressed with my head on the sandy ground and that would have meant the end. Honestly, it had happened that way once. Then I hit my head and after that I really had enough. I knew who was stronger.

Despite the strong waves, the front part on the beach always remains very shallow and is always quite pleasant for splashing. You can see it on the short video.

Another reason why I love this beach so much: The palm trees are up to the water here. One of the dream features of a beach. Only a few meters away is a small mountain with many palm trees and jungle on it. It's like another world. It reminds me of some movies like Tarzan. That's the great thing about Sri Lanka. Lots of nature as far as the eye can see. Who once discovered the island from the south to the north, knows what I mean. It was not for nothing that I felt very comfortable there in 6 months in Sri Lanka.

Who of you dear Steemians also comes to Sri Lanka, I should take more time and definitely visit more than just the tourist sites. Take your time to understand the island and the people, you will learn to love it.

The people there are still really honestly friendly. But for that you had to be open to the people and put aside your tourist style "I am king". There are special gestures that every Asian country has. When handing over money or other items, you always take only the Right Hand. Likewise, you place your left hand on the upper arm of your right hand at that moment. So you show respect of yourself to others. Whether in the supermarket at the cash desk, on the market place, in the clothing store, at the hotel, at the tuk tuk driver. Simply everywhere.

After a very short time I accepted this and at the same time I really noticed how open people were to us. Consider, with the western people we also shaken hands of respect and decency. It's the same there.

Be open and experience real friendliness and hospitality.

Es war auf Sri Lanka. Im Süden des Landes liegt ein Strand mit dem Namen Mirissa Beach. Auf dem ersten Blick vielleicht ein Strand wie viele andere. Aber er hat etwas Besonderes.

Sehr schön flach geht dieser Strand ins Wasser. So dass Kinder dort ebenso viel Spaß haben wie die Erwachsenen, die ein paar Meter in den brechenden Wellen sich in die Fluten stürzen. Denn draußen, gerade mal 50 Meter von Strand entfernt, da brechen die schönen Wellen.

Salima hat es schon manchmal genervt, dass ich nicht mehr aus dem Wasser gekommen bin und eine halbe Ewigkeit mich in den Wellen dort war. Es ist einfach ein Traum. Hohe Wellen kommen angerollt und jedes Mal ist es ein absolutes Abenteuer sich mit jeder Welle anzulegen.

Obwohl es nicht leicht ist und die Wellen an manchen Tagen wirklich grenzwertig sind, bin ich trotzdem hinein. Einmal war es sogar so stark dass mich die Welle ein paar Sekunden auf ihr getragen hatte ( ohne Surfbrett ) und dann an den Boden gerissen hatte. Dazu noch im Wasser durchgewirbelt. In diesem Moment bist du wirklich hilflos der Welle ausgeliefert. Keine Change irgendetwas zu machen. Ich konnte nur versuchen mich nicht kopfüber zu drehen, da ich sonst mit dem Kopf auf den Sandboden gedrückt worden wäre und das dann das Aus bedeutet hätte. Ganz ehrlich: Einmal war es auch so gekommen. Mit dem Kopf bin ich dann eingeschlagen und danach hatte ich wirklich genug. Ich wusste, wer stärker war.

Trotz den starken Wellen, bleibt der vordere Teil am Strand immer sehr seicht und ist zum Plantschen immer recht angenehm. Auf dem kurzen Video könnt ihr das auch sehen.

Ein anderer Punkt, warum ich diesen Strand so liebe: Die Palmen stehen hier bis zum Wasser. Eines der Traummerkmale eines Strandes. Nur ein paar Meter entfernt liegt ein kleiner Berg mit vielen Palmen und Urwald darauf. Es ist wie eine andere Welt. Erinnert es mich doch an manche Filme wie Tarzan. Das ist noch das tolle an Sri Lanka. Viel Natur, so weit das Auge sehen kann. Wer einmal die Insel vom Süden bis zum Norden entdeckt hat, der weiß was ich meine. Nicht umsonst habe ich mich in 6 Monaten Sri Lanka dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wer von euch liebe Steemians auch nach Sri Lanka kommt, der solte ich mehr Zeit nehmen und unbedingt mehr als nur die Touristen Schauplätze besuchen. Lass dir Zeit die Insel und die Menschen zu verstehen, du wirst es lieben lernen.

Die Menschen dort sind wirklich noch ehrlich freundlich. Dazu musste du aber offen für die Menschen sein und dein Touristen Style „ Ich bin König „ unbedingt ablegen. Es gibt besondere Gesten, die jedes asiatisches Land hat. Beim übergeben von Geld oder anderen Gegenständen nimmst du immer nur die Rechte Hand. Ebenso legst du die Linke Hand legst du in diesem Moment auf dem Oberarm von deiner Rechten Hand. Somit zeugst du Respekt des Gegenübern von dir. Egal ob im Supermarkt an der Kasse, auf dem Marktplatz, im Kleidungsgeschäft, beim Hotel, beim Tuk Tuk Fahrer. Einfach überall.

Nach sehr kurzer Zeit habe ich dies auch angenommen und wirklich gleichzeitig gemerkt, wie offener die Menschen zu uns waren. Überlege dir, bei den westlichen Menschen wir auch vor Respekt und Anstand die Hand geschüttelt. Genauso ist es auch dort.

Sei offen und Dur erfährst wirkliche Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft.
