Bulletproof Coffee RECIPE with Lions Mane + CBD oil

in #diet5 years ago

Bulletproof Coffee is one of the best breakfast options I've discovered since I started biohacking. It's high in fat and low in carbs which allows for a smooth yet sharp energy and focus.

So far I have not experienced any crashes on this morning brew. Something I can't say of my regular morning coffee. For me, it's all about the gradual peak in energy. The fat in bulletproof coffee is not just a source of energy but also slows down the absorption of the caffeine leading to a steady and gentle come up of the caffeine effects.

I also add CBD. Mainly cause it smoothens the effects of the caffeine even more. Next to that, I add a Lions Mane extract because I've been reading more and more on the beneficial cognitive effects this has.

I really admire you for going through all the trouble to document the process and doing the video. I've seen coffee served with butter but have never had one. I know people love to add a lot of cream and different toppings which are full of sugar but I don't like that.
I'm an ex coffee addict, gave up drinking coffee in September 2018, so it's been 7 months without coffee. I was forced to quit because I was drinking strong espresso all day long and had no effect on me any more. I'm dealing with low blood pressure and came to the conclusion that I was treating everything with coffee (headaches, fatigue, low blood pressure etc.) and had no effect on me at all. So I said enough and quit.
The first week was cruel, I went through all the withdrawal symptoms, was really hard but it become easier after that.
I still have a high respect for coffee but I don't think I'm going to ever drink it again. I know, this is the part where people say never say never but I have another reason not to drink coffee. It made me carsick, which has miraculously been cured after gave up drinking coffee. I don't feel carsick any more, no matter how bumpy the road or how bad the driver.
Anyway, back to your video and presented invention, I see the point and understand the purpose, I'm wondering how that coffee taste as I always had mine black without cream. It sure looks and sounds interesting and I would taste it, probably :)

Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with coffee. I try to cycle on an of coffee every now and then. I also drink ginger tea, green tea, matcha, matcha and yerba mate. The last one actually gives me a similar energy boost, but pretty different to coffee. Bit more subtle and smooth. Perhaps you could try that to see how you react?

Oh, I do think this recipe could be made with decaf coffee ;)

Since I'm not drinking coffee, I'd like to have a cup of tea from time to time and I prefer green tea, sage, Indian tea and black tea.

Awesome! That means a lot to me

that's certainly one way to wake up in the morning.

Jup. Once you get used to the fat it's hard to imagine a morning that's carb heavy.

Not sure about this one. I love my coffee and this is getting too scientific for me and I just can't see myself doing it. I understand the thought process behind it and will stick to what I do i think. Look forward to see what you come up with next.

Give it one try at least ;)

woooaw....lovely recipe in there. I now have new things to try out. I really enjoyed every second i spent on your blog. Great work and hope to read more exciting blogs from you

In TCM the principle described here is nourish and preserve the yīn to anchor the yáng.

I used to do this every morning, although I don’t do it now for other reasons.

I used to simply use organic butter, coconut oil, and cacao butter. I’d add a little organic vanilla extract to help balance the bitterness.

Whizzed it around in my smoothie blender and voila! instant awesomeness.

I can read a few folk freaking about the ‘science’... seriously folks don’t get hung up on it.

If you’re overwhelmed by it all, just simplify and use natural fats like I described.

The benefits of this if you are a regular coffee drinker are great!! But if you’re drinking coffee to get energy then there’s a problem, and adrenalising yourself is not the solution.

Bulletproofing at the very least mitigates the negative effects of coffee on your adrenals.

Great post!!!! 😊🙏🏽☯️

Coming from a person that just adds hot water to the coffee this is such an eye-opener! SO MUCH SCIENCE!!! INcreasing the positive effects of coffee to suit your personal needs and tastes is on another level and I love it! It never occurred to me to min-max coffee like that and I love how friendly and down to earth your format is, amazing! Thanks for sharing!
