New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus
......................................................................................................................................

Oddly enough the first part is about the North East AFTER 1491. It gives some perspective about what it was like back then.

Introduction, Chapter One and Two

Funny thing. It's a lot different that what you might expect.

John Smith, for example, way a short, bearded redhead. Pochahauntus was 12 years old at the time.

The europeans were NOT that much technologically advanced, if at all, than the Indians...and their standard of living was MUCH worse. There was a reason that young people 'ran off to live with the Indians'.

The Indians lived better and ate MUCH better.

Unfortunately 'no good deed goes unpunished'. The 'good deed' in question was that the Indians lived clean, healthy lives. They didn't live among animals, as the Europeans did, and thus had NOT built up any immunity to the Europeans diseases.

Such as Hepatitis, which killed 95% of all the North Eastern Indians that the Europeans came into contact with...and eventually pretty much depopulated both the North and South American Continents.
