Perhaps they've spent all of those YUGE monthly paychecks on real estate. It always seemed kinda silly to me to spend ALL your money on expensive houses and not spend any time at home. Work, work, work....12 or more hours a days..then spend four more hours commuting.

Very true ...Everyone works hard for his comfort but if you work extra and spend less time in home then prefer less expensive home

Most people spend the whole of their adult years working and only realize in their old age that they never enjoyed life like they should have. If they are leaving because they want to go to areas where they won't spend hours on the road and less time with their families, then that's very good. What's life if you can't enjoy the moment with those you care about?
so true....I drove over 3 million miles in the last 25 years....never at home.
