Welcome to the real world crypto testing ground.
It's called Bitcoin City.
Yes it's a real place with over 21 million visitors so far this year and over 4,000 businesses.
It is set up in Europe and it houses sports and entertainment complexes as well as over 4k shops and businesses.
Cool, what's the goal?
The goal is for it to be a testing ground for cryptocurrencies as a payment system and to further crypto adoption as a form of payment.
Ground Zero for crypto if you will.
All of the shops will be set up to accept crypto as a primary means of payment, and it's being dubbed as the Bitcoin City Experiment.
Cool, where's it located?
The commerce complex is located in Slovenia and it houses a movie theater, a water park, hotels and even a casino.
There are also over 70 bars and restaurants.
It literally is the ideal crypto testing ground.
The hope is that if crypto can catch on here, it can gradually branch out and become more mainstream.

Wow when does it come out?! I like how they are trying to get 21 million annual visitors :P. This is amazing, it's cool that it is in Slovenia. Is this an existing complex or is the construction already done?
Can't wait to see how much bitcoin demand there is for this place and buying goods! The merchants will have cheaper fees than traditional visa networks or handling cash, which can be expensive. Thanks for the find!
Nice! This will only further Bitcoin awareness and adoption. Plus it will be a tourist destination for Slovenia, and increase its tourist base and revenue. Way to be progressive, Slovenia! Good Thinking!
I'd imagine if they set up a Louis Vuitton or Gucci store there, it'd be easier to pay for the products using SBD or Bitcoin without any transaction costs.
If this is real and it proves Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency can be used in sustainable way then we can expect it to be in mainstream in no time. That means more money and profit to the guys who's buying crypto NOW! I guess that's "us" :)
