When you really think about it we have a long way to go with the blockchain technology to be fully adopted. In the meantime, I believe the best is on the way and companies will tap into it!

You need to have a strong use case for implement it!
You pretty much only need it if you need to avoid the double spend problem in a trustless manner. The blockchain isn't a good database for most things.

Or not be able to manipulate the data and have integrity in place. It is too easy to modify the data in a database when you have the proper right.
