I don't agree with this. So far, bitcoin has tracked the market pretty well. I think people will invest when times get better and they have more money, not when times get worse and they lose confidence in the market.
We are in a convergence point and confidence is coming back from the ATH of December 2017 I believe.
The market is also gaining confidence after the worst year since the 2008 crash.
It will only be a smart move to own some BTC and HODL patiently like a vulture

At least this one has a lot of liquidity!
Not just BTC but also ETH, LTC, and a few of the privacy coins like Monero and Dash. Besides cryptos, hoarding gold and silver makes perfect sense as well.
My point is good to start with Bitcoin and hodl some of them!
