Bloomberg: Tim Draper to Meet with Facebook to Discuss Investing in Rumored FB Coin
I am very curious what that Facebook coin will be. According to the article on Bloomberg, that quasi crypto will be a stable coin pegged to a set of fiat currencies. It sounds like it is not going to be a real crypto.

I don't think they would ever release a real crypto coin, they just have too much to lose to dare taking the risk, or what they consider to be the risk.

For me it will be not a real crypto, but as you said "quasi" coin or more straight up a parody coin, that will be in the beginning beneficial for the blockchain as it will help draw attention to the real crypto world!

@yanipetkov, I absolutely agree with you! It will be a quasi cryptocurrency, but it will attract the attention of the Facebook users to real cryptocurrencies. So, it is a kind of a good marketing campaign for the crypto.
According to me, the Facebook coin can not be a static coin, because there is already a lot of coins in the market which is still stable. @cryptospa
