Trials And Test Can Draw Us Closer To Christ

There is nothing joyful about trials, but we can take hope from the fact that God will use difficult circumstances to help us reach maturity.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

James 1:2-4
New International Version

Our troubles may not pleasant, but they are profitable in our relationship with Him and our character because they teach us to trust Him, to wait for Him, and to have confidence in His provision.

When we face adversity, do not despair. Cling to and trust Him no matter what happens. He is teaching us to persevere, and it is a lesson worth learning.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for being with us in our trials, and helping us to grow through difficult circumstances.
